Excellent undercoat rake that my dogs tolerate better than all others
This undercoat rake was a great buy. I wish I had found this a long time ago. It features a single row of tines that are specially designed to capture the undercoat. I have used lots of different types of combs, brushes, and shedding tools, and this is probably the best. My dogs all have long hair and a ton of fluffy fur/undercoat that constantly needs to be groomed. This rake helped remove a huge amount of loose undercoat, without pulling out too much — which is important because the undercoat acts as insulation/helps dogs with temperature regulation. The only negative I found is that it tends to make the hair/fur get static. This is helpful as the hair sticks to the rake for easy retrieval, but could also be irritating if you need to kill the static with a damp towel, etc. A big bonus is that the rake doesn’t pull the hair and my dogs all tolerated it well. My dog that normally runs away when I try to brush her actually just lay down next to me and let me groom her. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with a floof at home.

A bit less hair on furniture each day
Love the rake. We nearly decided to purchase the double rows, but decided on a single wide instead to test our. Best tool to use without the inflicted pain of a traditional wire brush or the Furminator. Our German shepherd dislike any pain from the grooming tools anyone uses, no matter how light the efforts may be. But she began to be groomed by the rake because of the additional pleasant scratching created by the rake. We don’t encourage to remove all undercoat, but just enough to prevent the loose undercoat from rubbing all over the furniture. So far, we have much less fur on our furnitures, floors, and clothes with just some light raking to remove the loose undercoat. This is extremely critical as the days are heating up for an early spring, while still dead in the midst of winter. This tool rivals that of our Furminator, without the pain our GSD exhibits. It gather the fur in neat bundles to be tossed just like the Furminator. We tossed the old traditional brushes away, and will be using this as a primary raking/combing tool, in tandem to a high speed air dryer for a quick removal of the stubborn lodged strands. Best cheap and super strong investment ever!

Great for my rough coat St Bernard!
I have many different brushes that I use on my four dogs, 2 labs and 2 St. Bernards but this rake/comb is my favorite to use on my rough coat Saint. I like the design because itâs more comfortable for me to use then a regular dog comb and very sturdy. It really gets through his thick hair especially around his neck and shoulders. It really gets his undercoat out! Have a bag handy for all the hair or brush outside because the hair flies everywhere. Itâs easy to use on his tail which has very long, thick hair. Heâs not bothered by it at all. I would definitely recommend this for people who have dogs with thick long hair and lots of undercoat.

My GSD likes this brush, I think it’s pretty good
I bought this because I have been using the Furminator which seems to work great but people on the German Shepherd group say not to use it because it strips their coat. So not wanting to do anything harmful, I purchased this rake type brush. It’s pretty good but I don’t get as much fur in the brush as I do with the Furminator. Rudy likes it though and will sit for quite a while during our routine. I had another rake style brush with our pervious GSD that worked better but can’t seem to find it and have not seen it on line. I think the bristles may have been longer and removed more fur. This does a pretty good job – just not a 5 star.

This Works On Springtime German Shepherd
If you know German Shepherds, you know dog hair, especially springtime. Bought this brush, my dog LOVES IT! No apparent discomfort. THIS BRUSH DEMOLISHES KNOTS. It gets under matted hair around back legs and neck. It really works great. I would give 6 stars if possible. Maybe one of the best things Iâve gotten on Amazon

Great for Siberian Huskies
Works great for getting the loose undercoat of our husky when she’s blowing her coat. Beware of some of the other “de-shedding” brushes – they have a tendency to shear off/cut the guard hairs, which can cause permanent damage to their coat! That’s why I love this one; the design is simple, it works, and it does no damage.

I thought that my Aussiedoodle did not shed. I have several different brushes and they work well but hardly pick up any hair. This one glides easily, my dog does not mind it as much as the other ones, yet it pulls out an enormous amount of undercoat hair! Love it!

Remueve muy bien el pelo denso. Me ha funcionado mejor cuando levanto un poco la capa superior de pelo. También me agrada que mi husky se deja mas cepillar con este (no le gusta la carda por que se atora mucho), parece que lo siente como un masaje.

After 35 yrs gsds im not a groomer but i consider myself a pretty good dog groomer untill i found this, there must be a squashed football of fur in my bin in 30 mins from two gsds, i only did there undercoat yesterday or so i thought, their coats are shining aswell, i honestly recommend you try.thick long or medium coated it does it.They look glossy too , happy owner or it would had been returned.I love it.

We are using it on rough collie. This is the best undercoat rake we’ve found so far. It’s nice and gentle on the coat and our dogs like it (at least, compared to the other ones). The downside – it gets out the fur, but it doesn’t stay on the rake, it flies around in the room. Still, a 5* from me for the performance, how well and gently it does it.
