Decent but spring in button isnât great.
I bought this to use at night time to pick up poop and not have to hold the leash a light/cellphone and a poop bag. It works pretty good, but the button got caught with no slack after 1 or 2 uses. Was able to get it to release but have to push in front to get it to work or hold it up. Light and charger work well except my dog likes to pull while Iâm trying to hold the leash/ light steady

If you’re looking for a long retractable leash THIS is the ONE
I went through 4 others before finally trying this one. Once I realized I could add a bag holder (sold separately) I gave it a shot. It’s by far the best I tried. It has a feel to the spooling mechanism(?) that immediately says “quality.” Wish I hadn’t wasted time on the others. The leash doesn’t get twisted. Nice and long. We’re happy!

Leashes quickly fell apart……Almost any unexpected behavior can turn the light on????
Second update ….on 1/31/24 The second leash frayed apart and is not useable. The line gets jammed in the retraction device. Remember, all of this damage was done by a 65 lb, 1.5 yr old lab. (He is rambunctious but that should not destroy two supposedly upper end leashes.) I’ve attached another picture showing how the line is fraying.Update…on 1/28/24 These leashes fell apart. (I bought two.) I purchased these leashes on Dec 3 (2023). One leash was literally pulled apart by a 65 lb lab. (see attached picture). The add in amazon claims that the leash will support a difficult 110 lb dog. The second leash has fraying leash lines that make it difficult to retract the line. I’m very disappointed at how quickly these deteriorated.On balance, this is a good product. The handle is easy to hold (rubberized) even with a difficult dog. The leash lines stay pretty well untangled. (I was afraid that the flat leash line would become twisted and jamed…it does not!)My one fault with this product is the strange light switch. You have to rap twice with two or more fingers on the left side of the holder to turn it off or on. The light is really handy since I begin most of my walks before sunrise. Unfortunately, the light turns on on numerous occasions by accident. If you are holding a doggy bag and it brushes the side, the light will turn on. If you are walking two dogs (like me), and the leash from one dog crosses the left side of the handle, the light for the other dog will turn on, etc. They could easily fix this with a simple switch instead of this odd double tap.

This retractable leash is horrible, it gets stuck or doesn’t retract and the light comes on just going in my pocket so when I really need it it’s dead and needs to be charged.

The light stops working very soon
The leash itself is fine but the main reason I bought this was for the light and it stopped working within a few weeks. I returned and got a replacement and same thing happened again. I really wish it would work, but if you need the light working, find something else. This will conk out soon and no amount of charging will help.

Iâve had this leash for about a month and so far it seems very durable and well made . The light is really bright but it has a 30 minute auto shutoff which was surprising as I saw that mentioned nowhere in the instruction booklet that comes with it. The double tap is kinda good kinda bad . Itâs easy to turn on and off once you get the hang of it but sometimes It can be turned on and off accidentally. It also canât be turned on or off with gloves on or at least it doesnât work for me unless I take my gloves off. The battery charges in about 2 hours and gives about 2 hours of light before it starts getting dim and needs recharging. The leash itself it plenty long and the reflective stitching adds to visibility. Itâs a great durable leash and it great for walking at night

Without a doubt the worst online purchase I ever wasted money on.My dog weighs less than 20 lbs and does not pull on her lead. The idea of this lead was great and I loved having a light for these darker evening walks BUT the âretractionâ stopped working in less than a week. It is totally useless and a good reminder to buy Canadian whenever I can.Donât waste your money.
