I bought one in late July. It seemed quite good. Bought a backup about two weeks later. About two weeks after that had the first one on the beach. It jammed hard! No amount of work freed it. I chalked it up to don’t use it on the beach dummy. I opened the second 3 or 4 days ago. It jammed today (no beach or sand anywhere in site). Unfortunately the return window closed several days ago. I only got the second unstuck after knocking it off a stone countertop a few times. I have to wonder how long this one will work for us under such conditions. I’m guessing not long. The only good part is the steel cable. Our dog hasn’t chewed through it yet.

Where the cable connects to the leash the connectors are heavy making it want to drag on the ground which gets tangled in my dogs legs. BUT, it does work OK, it prevents her from chewing on it. Before this leash we lost many…. LOL

The chew proof cable is too heavy, causing the leash not to retract or retracts very slow causing my dog to constantly get tangled. Would not recommend.

I love the 26th for leash. I love that it is retractable because my dog invariably gets tangled up whenever I use a really long leash. My dog is 19 pounds and I don’t think he is likely to break the leash.I have a variety of lesions that I use depending on the circumstances. This is one that I can keep in the car if we go to a trail or a forest preserve. When I take them in the backyard I take the shorter leash and let him run around. But this way I can actually grab the leash if I need to. When you have a retractable leash you can’t just drop it and expect to pick up if he gets away from you. This also comes with a dispenser for poop bags.
