Great item, works as intended.
I got this for the winter when there is snow on the ground & when it’s raining. I can take out the dog let him have the run of the yard while I stay dry on the porch.Works great, retracts, locks & unlocks easily, the built in flashlight is a nice added feature as well as the hook on the bottom to connect a bag carrier.I have so far been happy with the product. FYI this is not a heavy duty leash so if you have a big heavy dog that is powerful and likes to pull, the nylon cord that is the retractable portion of the leash may not hold up well over time. This is just my observation based upon the thickness of the cord.

Annoying lock mechanism
When leash goes to the side the rubber spout makes the leash stop. Quite annoying when he has 26 feet but keeps being stopped by the rubber. Locking mechanism is sensitive. No leash quality issues yet. Seems like ribbon material but a bit more durable than actual ribbon.

Poor quality
The flashlight fell off and we lost it right away. The retraction mechanism broke about a month later and the whole thing went to the garbage, where it belongs

Hard to lock and unlock, not a good design – way too bulky
This is our first retractable leash that was way too bulky and didnât always lock or unlock easily. Not had problems with other brands. The flash light is bright but itâs a two hand maneuver to push that on too. Not a user friendly design unfortunately

Buy this – it’s indestructible!
This is my second one – I had to retire it after two years of surviving miles and miles of dog walking, me dropping it, my dog (110 Dobie), my dog running off down the street or in the desert with the leash crashing and bouncing down the road or path. Just pick it up, dust it off. No problem. And the chord will never break – pissed off once I jerked the leash really hard and it snapped off my dog’s choke chain collar – it didn’t phase the leash cord at all. Notice it’s cheaper without decals – this is what the distributors buy before they put their brand on it 🙂

Leash broke after 2 1/2 months.
Leash worked for 2 1/2 months. Then the locking/unlocking button failed to operate. It felt like a broken spring. Our dog is about 60 lbs. so I would think this leash would last longer. Also, the picture shows the leash to have a cable type lead when it actually has a ribbon type lead. When first purchased I thought this product was great, however it should last longer then it did! —- Not happy!
