All of the cats we have, from the oldest (15 years) to the youngest (fosters at about 5 weeks) loved these! The reaction from them was similar to catnip: the were rubbing faces on them, sniffing hard, grabbing on and kicking! Fun to watch! And theyâre fine to step on, too, which is important, as our cats leave toys in the walkways of the house. No foot ouches or breaking a toy. This was already my second batch purchased; I definitely recommend them. *Note: some cats will pull the raffia out in play, even though itâs pretty secure. Caught one of ours ferociously pulling on that part with her teeth until it started coming out. Itâs not a product problem, itâs just a cat being aggressive on a toy. These are great for the price, and I will surely buy more.

I bought the 3-pack for my daughters kitties , after she sent me a video of how reactive they were to the bag ( it wasnât even opened, still in Amazon shipping bag ) I ordered the 5-pack for my kitties, the video I posted is of my shyest kitty, he usually stays in one room until heâs hungry or needs to use litter, I was really happy to him rolling around on this silvervine stick he played with it for quite awhile,I definitely recommend buying these, my kitties chew them and it good for their teeth and gums , itâs different from catnip that gets them all frisky and then tires them , these they play with and still have their playfulnessTheyâre great value long lasting I just wipe them down if they get messy to clean them and shake them, it attracts them to themBut honestly you donât need to shake them

Smash hit, but don’t last long
Our kitten loved these. He especially loved chewing on the ends and unraveling the string to drag it around. Unfortunately, none of them survived more than one day apieceâa testament to him absolutely LOVING them, but also worth considering when you’re buying them. If you’ve got an older cat with a less energetic play drive, these might last longer.

TIP: donât give it straight to your cat, leave it around for the fun of finding something new to play with!Our 5 mo old kitten ignores the cat toys we got her so far, but loves playing with pens and pencils so I knew sheâll love playing with this. We got it yesterday, and just left one on the office table where she swiped our pens for her to âdiscoverâ. She is having a blast and dragging it with her everywhere to play and gnaw on.Canât decide if itâs the strong scent (smell) of the silvervine or the fact that our kitten is into stick-like objects (it looks like a big yummy pen to her, hahah) but as long as our kitty girl likes it Iâm glad we purchased it.Theyâre sturdy and a perfect size to keep in your carry bag for travels. My cats a little bit older and apparently doesn’t give a crap about this chew toy. It’s not the product’s fault, but I would say the three stars were to get your attention to know that if you have an older cat you might want to save your money. I’m sure it works great enticing younger felines

Our cats love these
My cats are very finicky with toys. Not like we haven’t tried to play with them and new toys. Had to give soooo many away. They seem to like these natural sticks alot and they like those real looking small mice. They also like the crackly irridescent balls and little puff balls to bat around. They hate feathers and that flopping fish. Tried so many things to keep them entertained, but this they love.

BEWARE of Bad Side Effects
FACT: When catnip is sniffed, it is a stimulant. When it is eaten, it is a relaxant. I bought these for my cat. A couple of weeks in I noticed my cat’s eyes were continually dilated unaturally and she started to vomit several times a week and to excessively and eratically groom. Then I noticed she was constantly rubbing and licking these sticks, and stayed near to them. She looked like a feline drug addict. So I threw them out and she started pacing around the area where they were kept, was jittery, and “asked” for them. But she did not get them back. Now she is relaxed again, eye dilation normal, no more vomiting. You don’t want a cat who is always high on these things. This is a DRUG for them. I now give her a small pinch of cat nip, and I mean small, once a day, and she is fine. All symptoms gone. If there is anything abnormal going on with your kitty, as in loss of appetite or change in behavior, or vomiting, eratic grooming, and you are giving these to them, I’d stop it immediately.
