Honestly no complaints
I got this for my border collie, and honestly it does fine with her. I donât understand all the negative reviews, mineâs holding up just fine. Granted she hasnât ran on it full speed, but as a whole itâs holding up very well – would definitely recommend it.

Works great, not for beach with large dog
Works great, i would have no complaints if I was using it in dirt, was hoping to use for my golden retriever at the beach but obviously with soft sand and a 75 pound dog, he can pull it out fairly easily. Wish there was an extension to screw deeper in the sand, but product works great and exactly as advertised. Nice durable quality and smooth retraction, surprisingly, it didn’t clog with sand either. Great product just not for large dogs in sand.

I bought 2. One retracts if you mess with it over and over. The other one doesnât retract at all. Used it once and the lead will not go back in at all.

The 30ft Retractable Dog Tie Out Cable and Stake for my medium-sized dog, and it has exceeded my expectations. I like how sturdy this product is. The tie-out cable is strong but light, making it easy to take on trips. The 360° rotating reel lets my dog move around without getting tangled. Overall, it feels very durable, so I trust it will last through regular use. The 30-foot length gives my dog plenty of room to roam, whether weâre in the yard or camping. It also retracts easily, making it simple for me to bring him back when needed. My dog, who is around the middle weight, has plenty of space to roam. It’s nice that it can suit different sizes. Setting up the stake was easyâclear instructions helped me get it in the ground in minutes. It’s portable too, making it perfect for camping, so my dog can enjoy the outdoors wherever we are. I recommend it for any dog lover who wants to let their pet roam safely!

Retractable is nice- update
It poorly goes into the ground. It has came out twice when chasing another animal. I am buying the one I had originally that never came out of the ground, but cord became weathered. Disappointed and glad my dog did not get injured!I was replacing an older retractable chain for my dog with this. I donât like how it goes into the ground. It doesnât seem as secure as the old one I just replaced. I Like the concept and not having a chain lying around, but am afraid if a deer passes by my dog may yank it out of the ground. (50 lb Aussie )

Perfect for camping trips!
I absolutely love this item! One of the things I appreciate the most about this product is that it delivers exactly as described – and most important: It stood up expertly to our very active 60 lb australian shepard mix – even when dogs walked by. Bonus: it is easy to use. Plus – it is truly excellent quality!I think it offers great value for the price and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a get a great item at an excellent price.

Flaws in manufacture
The item itself is very hefty, sturdy, and seems generally well made. The plastic and metal are thick and durable and the wind up leash mechanism is very smooth. This would be a 5 star product EXCEPTthere is a nut of some sort that goes on top to secure everything in place. That nut has a separate bolt that goes through it to make sure it stays on. Unfortunately the hole drilled through the nut is not lined up correctly. When you screw it on, the holes in the nut and the base absolutely will not line up, preventing the bolt from going through. So it cannot truly be secure. I have the nut tightened on as much as possible, my dog only weighs like 15lbs so this stake wonât have to do much work. Itâs just disappointing because the item is rather nice quality otherwise, but that one little flaw severely limits its functionality.It was not the easiest to get into the ground, but it is very rocky where I live with firm clay soil. Normal dirt would be a lot easier to screw this thing into.Overall Iâm a little disappointed with the item but maybe Can still use it.

little hard to assemble
it took me a bit to get the screw in and im still not sure its in all the way or correctly because it doesnt go through and fit as well as i think it should but so far its holding up well keeping my dog where he should be and for reference he is 63 pounds and a pit mix.
