Blue died after the first charge
Update: after about 5 minutes of use, the green one stopped working and will not turn on. It isn’t a dream battery because I left it on the charger for a few hours. 2 of 3 are dead, definitely returning.I used them for a bit when they first arrived (not with a cat, just fiddling with lenses and mirrors to get cool pictures) and the blue one was the dimmest, so I charged it for a few hours… And it got even less bright. It’s like the diode died or fell out of alignment with the lenses. These are glued together, so I can’t disassemble them to try and fix it, so I will likely return them. Picture is against a bleached white cotton sheet, so that’s as bright as the blue can possibly show up due to the black light effect.Green is bright as hell, and red is a pretty nice brightness, too. It’s just the 405nm “blue” laser that sucks. Unfortunately, that’s the one I wanted most in this set. :(I don’t recommend using these with a cat except the red one because green lasers appear much brighter to human eyes because of some complicated biology thing and it will give you a huge headache if you are even a little sensitive to bright lights. I don’t know if cat eyes have the same problem, but it may cause them damage. Do your own research and make your own choices, I just want to bring it up so people don’t assume that the company selling these took that into consideration, because I can 99.99999% guarantee they didn’t.

green is extremely bright
I’m sure it works well as a cat toy. I got this to do a table top optics experiment, but found both the red and green pointers are much too bright. Too intense to look at where the beam goes, and it is actually scary to use. The spot is easily visible hundreds of feet away outside during the day, to give you some idea. I wish there was an intensity adjustment, but I understand this is not the intended purpose. I was able to use it as a source into a fiber (still too bright) but if you clamp down the button to run it continually, the battery runs only a few minutes. You can probably run it longer leaving the USB charge cable connected, however I am not sure if the laser chip will overheat. It’s crazy this amount of power is (1) available so cheaply and (2) sold as a toy. I don’t know what happens if you catch a specular reflection into your eye, but I don’t want to find out.

Do not waste your money!
I used this product for pointing at things at work and home with fairly little used, pointer button stopped working after 6 months, even if fully charged. Please Do not waste your money, these will not last too long, all three colors are now trash, same thing happened with everyone one of them! I do not recommend these!

Lasted only thirty days
We use this almost every night to get our dog to play catch. I’ve charged it a few times however now the red laser barely works almost like it’s dead. I would return it however my return window closed. I know it’s not the most expensive laser set however did not expect a laser to last only a month.

These lasers are powerful and not safe as cat toys or around children. âEye safeâ is around 3â5 milliWatts. I used a laser power meter, and these are each stronger than 70 milliWatts.

That I paid anything for it, instead of buying quality from somewhere else. Purple plane or defective within two days of use, despite careful handling in full charging. Do not buy this.
