AWESOME to cut through mats!
Iâve bought every type of contraption to cut through both my Tibetan Terrierâs mats over the last 13+ years including the double sided rake combs with hidden blades and the serrated combs. They all pull and are pretty awful, tedious, and work minimally, if at all. My [current and past] dog does NOT like to be combed anymore because of them.These are super sharp and the edge is so small and thin that you donât have to *force* your way underneath/into the mat and you donât have to tug and pull on skin to cut through.The edge does dull after a while, so these arenât made to last forever. But I will choose these over the other methods every single time.

I was pretty skeptical about using this, but my daughter tried it out on a knot on my cat, and it worked. I don’t know if it cut it or if it pulled out when she jumped, but either way, it worked. I will add, these look like letter openers. I use them at work all the time. So you can consider this a multi-use tool. However it worked, it was definitely easier than my daughter’s method of slowly pulling them off or us trying to cut them off without my cat trying to murder us then peeing in the sink as a sign of her disapproval. Cats. Yeesh.
