Tegu blocks are built to foster curiosity. The mystery of magnets offers an experience that starts with Marvel and joy. The very first “click-clack” of two blocks coming together sparks an instant magical discovery. Simple magnets and blocks become so much more, and boundless play is off and running. Tegu has reinvented the wooden block in a way that brings new life to a favored classic. By safely embedding magnets into each piece, Tegu blocks become curiously attractive for both kids and kids at heart. Defy gravity and push your imagination in ways never before possible. No instruction manuals or electronics; just toys that demand imagination and inspire limitless creativity across all ages. Open-ended play is endangered, but we’re bringing it back. Created with beautiful sustainably sourced hardwoods and safe water-based finishes, these blocks have proven wildly addictive for kids (and kids at heart) and will encourage the simple joy of creating for generations. This set includes 6 blocks in 2 shapes: 4 triangular prisms and 2 Parallelograms.

Great, purse-friendly toy for road trips and restaurants!
This is such a great toy to take along to restaurants or other places where kids need to stay quiet! Itâs great for kids age 1 all the way up to 6+! For older kids, print off the guide for 49 different shapes (attached) to challenge them to recreate them all. I cannot emphasize enough how much we love this toy. It is our go-to birthday party gift!

our second set
once you have a second set,a world of possibilities opens up. we have built a bigger dog,a robot. even a triangle. it’s a great coffee table conversation piece as well. the first set has been in our family for several years and you can see the paint getting worn out. but it is as functional as ever. I wish the magnets were little stronger to enable some unusual shapes

They both absolutely love them (when they can get them away from mom
I got these to put in a ‘quiet bag’ for our 9yo and 6yo. They both absolutely love them (when they can get them away from mom!). It seems like such a simple toy but there are so many things you can make with the 6 blocks as well as playing with the magnetic/repellant properties. The blocks are as beautiful as they are simple. The carrying case is thicker and sturdier than I expected and works well for carrying the blocks. I am definitely planning to purchase more Tegu products.

Great toy for a trip in the car or airplane – great color selection!
My two-year-old really enjoys playing with this. It was a great toy to bring on an airplane as the parts didn’t fall down as easily as e.g. Legos. It seems that my toddler is the most fascinated with the simplest toys: she will put this together and take it apart for 20 minutes straight, she loves the fact that everything is magnetic. I love that this toy is all wood (apart from the magnets inside) and challenges my daughter’s imagination. I am sure this will stay with us for many years and out-live most of her other toys. It is a safe toy that I would recommend buying. However, I wish it was a bit more affordable.

Small, pricey, and intriguing.
You’ll pay a lot for what you get in this set: six angled blocks (four triangles, two parallelograms) with embedded magnets, all packed in a small grey pouch made of thick industrial grade felt. It’s a neat package that readily fits into a medium sized purse.Be forewarned that while this is a toy that will probably intrigue your young child, it’s one that benefits from the involvement of an adult–especially one who nonverbally explores what the blocks can do. They’re pretty versatile. Click, clack. They can come together–but they can also, depending on the orientation of the embedded magnets, ‘ignore’ or even repel one another. Do ‘magic’ by making a block move without touching it. Put one on the tray table of an airplane and move it by holding another block beneath. Make four triangles into a square. Build a house. Etc. They are a great fiddle toy, even for adults. So, they’re a handy take along. Most children will allow themselves to be distracted with these during a period of enforced waiting in a confined space. A real plus is that the sturdy pouch makes it easy to ensure that all the (expensive) pieces come home. These are priced high so as to allow support of educational programs in Honduras, where they are manufactured. Also, Tegu requires resellers to adhere to a pricing agreement, but there are price reductions periodically, both on Amazon and on the Tegu site. Go there to sign up for their occasional emails, which include special offers–sometimes as much as 35 to 40% off–and the introduction of new products not available elsewhere.

Has saved us so many times!
Bought two – one for a car and one for his baby bag. I read about this product on a baby blog, and I’ve loved it for many months now. Thanks to this toy, we’ve made it through long 1+ hrs waits at the dr., the airport, and even at a funeral (though they’re kinda loud, so I don’t recommend this be your intended use for them), etc. with our now 20 month old. We’ve had them about 7 months now, and he loves it. I’ve read that older kids love it too, because they can start building specific shapes instead of just clicking the magnetic blocks together.I could be a sales rep for this company with how many people I’ve helped purchase this in the past 6 months! We’ve let other kids play with them, and it’s helped pass the time while waiting. One major suggestion is to make sure you have 6 pieces every time you finish playing with them (like the dr’s ready to see you now), so you’re scrambling to make sure you have your 6 pieces, and actually put them back together in order right then and there. Otherwise you’ll be searching your bag to make sure you had 6 pieces later. So far we haven’t lost one, but hubs doesn’t always put it back together, and it’s a real pain to go searching for tiny pieces, so I put it back together each time and in the bag before we leave. Doesn’t take long, but it’ll briefly work your brain too! 🙂

Liked by kids and parents
Have given several sets as gifts. Popular with the under 3-year old set. Parents also like them for going out because the blocks not only keep their kids entertained but are also are small, not bulky, and are easy to quickly pack up and store in the travel pouch.

Nice quality toy
Itâs pricey but also good quality. I would rather have less toys around but of better quality and durability. Itâs also a toy that engages in open ended play and while itâs a small set. You can continue to add sets and that is also worthwhile when choosing a toy for the long haul

Tegu products are extremely well made and will always be welcome in my daughter’s toy collection. All tegu products are fully compatible so we use the prism pocket set along with the Tegu Magnetic Tram that we gifted my daughter for Christmas. Love Tegu products.
