I recently adopted a nine-year-old long haired cat whose coat was still growing back three months after it had been shorn because, the shelter people told me, he’d arrived with fur so matted that a full shave was the only option. It’s all back now, and it’s very long, and was again in need of hair maintenance, so I bought this brush based on its high ratings here.It deserves all those stars, because it works as thoroughly and easily as described. The self-cleaning feature works perfectly and in fact, the only drawback, if it is one, is that Henry is so fond of the “massage” this brush provides that he constantly demands one, especially when I’m working at my desk or reading.And that’s not really particularly annoying. The poor guy had a rough life the past few years as his owner became forgetful, so I’m happy to make things right for him again.

Doesnât hurt my medium hair cat at all and so easy to clean! The button doesnât take a lot of strength to push and the bristles go in completely so it works well. Hair is left behind and sweeps off with no effort. My cat is rather large 14 lbs so the size is perfect but I could see how it wouldnât work for a kitten.

I have always used good brushes on my cat to eliminate hair for her and us. I have allergies so I have to keep on top of it. This brush is better than most because it scoops the hair right out and you donât have to try to clean Between the bristles. The bristles are a little bit long and hard for a new kitten so you must be gentle, but works great on adults.
