Must have in NJ
I live in NJ and recently learned that dogs need to be restrained in vehicles and if you get pulled over itâs a hefty fine. I have a large dog (150# Great Pyrenees) and needed something that meets the state law requirement. This strap is easy to use and does what it was intended to do. However because itâs just a clip that attaches to the dog I highly recommend using a harness for this item and not a collar. Normally I just have her in a collar but if we were to stop short or get in an accident, if this strap is only attached to her collar it could pose as a choking hazard. Anyway, other than that itâs a great tool for her safety.

I got this doggy seatbelt for my medium-sized pit bull mix, installed in the backseat of my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is perfectly designed!It is easy to install on the headrest of the backseat and I do not see any reason this wouldn’t work in any vehicle. It is easy to install, and connects easily to my dog’s collar.There is an elastic “crumple” zone in the extension, so the dog has room to pull on it without choking herself.

This is a great product to keep your pup safe and secure while riding in the car. It is made of heavy duty nylon strapping with an elastic section for shock absorption. Simply wrap the adjustable loop around the headrest, clip the other end to your pup’s harness, adjust the length, and you’re ready to go! We have a new pup, and this provides great peace of mind. Would never leave home without it! Highly recommend!
