Say goodbye to pesky fleas with Advantus (imidacloprid). This powerful flea treatment provides fast and effective relief for your furry friend. A single dose of Advantus soft chews starts killing adult fleas within one hour. And it’s out of their system in 24-hours,* so your dog can get back to enjoying life.
If there are fleas in your dog’s environment and your dog becomes re-infested, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day. Although it does not prevent fleas, the active ingredient, imidacloprid, is a potent insecticide that works to kill fleas when they bite your dog. When fleas ingest the product, the active ingredient over-stimulates the flea’s nervous system and kills the flea. Advantus soft chews should not replace your dog’s flea and tick prevention. For monthly flea and tick prevention for dogs, consider Advantage II, Seresto or K9 Advantix II for dogs.
Designed for dogs and puppies aged 10 weeks and older and weighing between 23 and 110 lbs., Advantus is a convenient and savory soft chew that can be given to your dog directly by placing it in their mouth or having them take it from your hand. It’s available without a prescription, so you can immediately begin treating your dog’s flea infestation. Advantus is also available for dogs ranging in weight between 4 and 22 lbs.
For best results, use Advantus at the first sign of fleas. Advantus fights fleas fast, providing relief within the hour. Follow the label instructions carefully, and keep out of reach of children and pets. For complete directions for use and safety information, see product label.

    WORKS!
My dog had fleas and I gave this to him. The next day the fleas were eliminated. I was not expecting this product to work so well.

    Good product
Been feeding this to my dog for a couple of weeks nowIt’s does help with the fleas a lot but quickly looses the effectIt’s a feed your dog daily product but the instructions need to be better on the bottle I don’t think it’s safe to feed it to your dog every day but I need to do my research firstStill giving 5 stars it still does what it’s supposed to do

It works and doesn’t make my dog ill
So far, this is the only flea pill that works and doesn’t make my dogs sick. Down side is the effects only last for a day or so and it’s quite expensive. If you want to get the most out of your money, you have to be religious about giving your dogs the pills every day for the first week or so, after that, you just give them a pill when you notice fleas.

    Worked Great 👍🏽
This year the fleas seemed to be worse than ever in my yard. I tried so many different sprays and pesticides to get rid of them. My dogs are highly sensitive to fleas and flea poo. They scratched non stop. I bathed them. They’d go outside and come back in with 30 fleas minimum each. It was driving us all crazy. I decided to try this in addition to Pet Armor drops. The chews smell like a tasty dog treat so the dogs ate them quickly. Most of the fleas were dead by the end of the day. The few stragglers were moving so slow on them it was easy to remove them. No more scratching all night. No more sleepless nights for them. I definitely recommend Advantus. And Pet Armor. Worth the price.

    Not if works
My dog would not eat it, something about the taste I guess. I had to mix it with her food. And I didn’t see results.

Bad side effect reactions; loose stool with blood
Both my dogs, one is a mutt mix of like three dogs; Australian Shepherd, American pit and Border Collie (9 yrs old and 50lbs) the other is a Frenchie (2yrs old and 28lbs) I’ve been giving them these chewables for about 6 months now and they’re both suddenly having side effect reactions.I took them both into the vet on Friday to get them current on all vaccinations and have a bunch of screenings with their new vet. Everything comes back great (blood, urine, fecal, etc). I give them their tablets on Tuesday evening, by Wednesday evening our older dog is exhibiting all the side effects listed underneath the label, Thursday morning I wake up to a mess, from both ends presumably, all over light beige carpet and neither dog is eating, while the older one continues to have loose stool. It happened once before like 2 months ago and then just a suddenly went away. The only thing it could possibly be I’m thinking is this medication. I don’t understand why sometimes it affects them more than other times. They’re both taking the correct dose for their weight, at the correct time, from the same bottle. (I bought the year supply one). I’m definitely going to go back to topical applications. 83% effectiveness is better than 99% effectiveness with the occasional mornings of scrubbing a 5×5 chunk of carpet which is absolutely ruined from dried bloody stool or vomit now, for sure.(Scrubbed with Dawn, scrub with vinegar, scrub with resolute pet stain remover and this is the best I could get it)

This year the fleas have been horrible and this is been one of the only things I’ve seen that helps get rid of them. This is not a monthly flea treatment this will only kill the fleas that are active at this point
