Long lasting, pricey.
My aggressive chewers that can mow through antlers love them. They are very hard. They do not splinter. Small sawdust like pieces come off but it’s not excessive. A friend got the puppy version and thought it was too soft and many more pieces came off. They’re made of cellulose which is essentially paper and I’d rather have my dogs pass pieces of that through their digestive tract than nylon/rayon/plastic. They have lasted for over a month, I fully expect at least 2 by our daily usage. The large is a big size. When they first arrived I thought they were going to be too big for my 30 to 40 lb dogs, but they like holding it. I would assume that any large breed dog except for the extra large breeds would be happy with the size of this. They have no odor wet or dry. I think it is good value for how long they last AND because it’s an alternative to the plastic garbage out there. I still think pricey for a chew that is probably very cheap to make, but kudos to them for excellent execution and exceeding my expectations.

Great for super-chewers!
My dog can usually chew through the toughest of toys very quickly. This has lasted over a month and has minimal wear-and-tear and is still in tact despite lots of use. Highly recommend.

Very tough
We had bought a Benebone, which is inedible, because they were supposed to be almost indestructible. Our 10 year old golden retriever had the end in shards on the first chew, so we took it away and sent it back. The Better Bone is edible and non-toxic, and it turns out much harder than the Benebone. We’ve had it a week and it looks like new. Much better choice and will last a long time.

Itâs heavy
Itâs not for small dogs. Itâs real heavy. For some reason my Pitbull hasnât taken to it. He has played with it twice. It has zero smell. Itâs I think itâs worth the money they are asking because it is Pitbull approved and they are super aggressive chewers. It is durable very durable, I could use it as a hammer. Itâs shaped like a slingshot and because itâs so heavy my dog has a hard time holding it up and I think this is why he wonât play with it. It does make a noise but so what? Itâs not hurting anything. Everything makes a noise. Iâm not sure if Iâll keep it or not.

Much better bone
Got this for my pit bulls. Heavy duty for power chewers. No hard plastic stuck in their beds or poking my bare feet on the floor after they’ve chewed the heck out of it. Lasts a really long time too. They’re still chewing on it and it’s still in tact. Other bones like nylabone, purchased well after these and given as a gift to the dogs I had to throw out a week later because was sharp, dangerous and half gone. Those just don’t last at all with my power chewing dogs. I definitely recommend it Had this for many months now and only has some teeth marks on ends. Dogs love it and easier for them to hold onto.

Way too hard and splintered immediately
We tried this for our dog who loves chewing bones, hoping to get away from a more plastic style and still avoid breaking teeth. This was listed as good for aggressive chewers and said to not splinter. Within a minute or two of her having the bone, I heard a snap and I looked over and saw her spit out a piece of the bone. I was delighted it was a piece of the bone and not a piece of tooth, but I immediately took the bone away. Sheâs a 50 pound pit heeler mix and I would only describe her as a moderately aggressive chewer. Really disappointed in this product and I donât suspect something this hard and chippable is good for their teeth.

Best bone yet!
Finley, our schnauzer, loves these bones. Not made from nylon so they are safe for the aggressive chewers. We had the first bone for almost a year. They come in small and large, regular flavor and beef. He loves having his breakfast and then cleaning his teeth with the bone.

Was a 5+ star until……
Initially, we would have rated this bone a 5+. We ordered the hard density and it was exactly as advertised. Our dogs loved it…..we ordered a second one. We especially liked that the bones did not splinter off, as some other popular bones do. However, with ongoing chewing, pieces began to break off…..pieces large enough to be potential choking hazards. We now only allow our dogs to chew them when under our direct vigilant supervision.

THIS IS AN AMAZING, INCREDIBLE CHEW TOY.I have a potcake (terrier mix) from St. Lucia that’s 33lbs. He gets bored easily as he’s still a puppy (9 months), and no matter what I gave him, he would destroy it. I had to stop giving him stuffed animals and anything that wasn’t made of REALLY durable rubber.I never believed in giving these kinds of bones to dogs because they break off shards of nylon, and it made absolutely no sense to me. How could you purposely give your dog something that they can break off during play and it can harm them when they swallow it? I still don’t get it.THIS ONE. It’s made of organic, natural materials, so I’m not worried at all about if my dog consumes it. That said, there aren’t any pieces coming off it! He’s making consistent gouges in it (see attachment), but he absolutely loves it. IT’s gotten to the point where if I hear him chewing on this bone, I breathe a sigh of relief because I know he’s playing with something safe. He has had no issues, and we’ve had this toy for months and it’s still in GREAT condition! The price point is pretty high, but you’re going to get SO much more toy for SO much more time, it’s worth the investment. Thank you better bone!UPDATE:itâs July 2024 and my boy finally broke off a chunk from the long end. Iâm thinking of just sanding down the sharp edges and giving it back to him! He still LOVES it!

I have a 1-year-old Dutch Sheppard who will literally destroy the “toughest” of chew toys within an hour. It’s been 3 days and so far, he’s barely made a dent on it! He loves chewing on it on and off all day.I do recommend making sure your dog’s teeth are in good condition because it’s extremely dense and hard. If your dog’s teeth aren’t in the best shape, I wouldn’t recommend this because I could see it damaging not-so-great teeth. The scratches he has made are completely smooth and aren’t sharp/dangerous like plastic toys. My dog also hasn’t shown any signs of being sick from it and his bathroom routines have been completely normal. If your dog destroys everything and has great teeth, I highly recommend this! I will be buying more once this one is done!EDIT: he has now finally chewed through the top part after 3 months! In the process of ordering another one!

This dog chew is harder than most and is strong enough to survive the hardest of chewers. Good value.
