Has a lock to keep dog close
This retractable leash winds SO smoothly. A word of warning though, if you press the button with no dog attached to the extended leash, it comes back FAST and hard. The clasp hurts when it hits you on the way back. Now, if you use the leash appropriately, unlike I did when I first opened it up, the quick rewind is really nice to pull up the slack fast when your dog comes in close. Holding the handle feels nice. Sometimes, these leashes are a bit square and uncomfortable to hold but this one is rounded in all the right places.The leash is advertised to hold up to 66lbs, but I don’t know how the locking mechanism will hold up against the tugging of a powerful dog under that weight. My dog is 55lbs and we went for a great walk on this lead. When we passed some deer, he pulled me but the leash did not let out any slack.The leash stretches to just over 16 feet which is plenty for a walk, but I’m not sure it would be long enough for training other than to practice stay and recalls when the dog might run off.

doesn’t tangle, nicer lock switch
I prefer the flat strap style rather than a thin round cord. This one is easy to grab and is unlikely to tangle. I particularly like the locking button. It is larger, sturdier and doesn’t jam like some others. My Schnauzer enjoys the extra length but it is still easy to control him when cars or other people pass by. So far, it doesn’t stick locked like the one we are replacing.

Not sure it will hold up for large dogs
PRODUCT/THOUGHTS:This is a large retractable dog leash and is advertised as good to use for Large dogs up to 66 lbs. The retractable unit is plastic and the shape or the grab point makes it easy to hold. There is a slide button at the top which locks the unit in place. The second disappointment is the retractable part. It is a thin “ribbon-like” material. Should be fine with small and medium dogs. No faith that this will work with a larger dog pulling, especially if they are strong.

Pretty straight forward, quality dog leash. More than enough length to let the dog wander when appropriate and reel her back in when needed. Have no problem using this with our 65 lb or 85 lb dogs. Has a sleek look and handle is comfortable. It is a big heavy, otherwise great.

Disappointed in Durability and Security
I expected a high-quality product from this brand, but I have serious concerns about the durability of this retractable leash. The leash is not particularly wide, and although my 60-pound husky is within the rated weight limit, I don’t feel secure using it compared to previous retractable leashes I’ve owned. The thin cord can easily lead to rope burns if you need to pull on it suddenly. It can also trip or wrap around you or your dog, and the stopping mechanism can jerk your dog back or cause you to drop the device

This is a great leash.It feels secure in my hand.It’s not too heavy.It extends out and retracts very smoothly.My little dog walked effortlessly with it.It gave her some freedom to explore just a bit.It helped my husband to feel calmer, because she didn’t pull him along.It feels like quality that is going to last a long time.It made walking a pleasure rather than a power struggle.My dog is a Dachshund mix. She weighs about 18 pounds.The thickness of the leash will handle a much bigger dog in my opinion.5 stars and a new leash I mean lease on walking!
