Customers say

Customers find this brush effective for removing hair. They say it works well on short and medium-length coats, with fine teeth that remove loose hairs and dead undercoat effectively. The brush is described as the best deshedding brush on the market, better than Furminator brand undercoat rakes. Many customers find it comfortable to use, easy to use, and suitable for both short and long haired pets. However, opinions differ on the build quality.

    Better than furminator
I’m a groomer. I have tried many other tools to remove the loose and dead hair off pets and haven’t had anything like this product work the way it does. It gets ton of hair out and doesn’t hurt the dog if used properly. Def recommended for any short-medium length coats. Like labs and shorter haired husky. Great value. Will save you tons of time as a groomer air just someone looking to brush in between dog grooming.

Work great and does not break coat
Works well well to pull out of undercoat and guard hair on my schnauzer. Does not break or cut the guard hairs, pulls them similar to hand stripping.

    Perfect for Australian Cattle Dog
I was skeptical about spending this much on a brush, but it works excellently. My Blue Heeler’s excess shed comes off easy. It doesn’t tug/hurt her. We can make a whole second puppy with how much fur it helps release from the undercoat lol.

This rake should be mandatory for all dog owners to use..!!!
We needed this for a pug puppy coming to stay at our house. Since, one member of our family has severe allergy issues, we had to find a way to cut down on hair/dander and allergens getting left all over the house..Besides creating a make shift kennel to keep pup over the tile floor.. we hit the ground running- and started off with a rigorous shampoo scrubbing while using a hand mitt brush.. doing this helps to “loosen and stir up the pups coat that’s needing to come off.” Next, we used the deshedding Rake. I’m not sure what type of witchcraft or voodoo is involved- But, OMG!! This started to go to work with the very first stroke of the brush..Using this is not complex, it’s like brushing a dog.. The trick is all in how well you can maneuver the brush all around on your pup- Overall, our pup really liked the sensation, sort of like “A day at the dog spa!!” We did notice some sensitive raking areas in the dog as you’d expect!! I advise to be gentle on or, around extra skin wrinkles and tender places- such as.. neck, face, groin area and tail.**NOTE: By gently pulling the skin taut where ever there may be wrinkles or, excess skin helps. Do this by, pulling the opposite direction you are combing thru with the rake. This helps NOT catch or knick the actual skin as you “manually shed” your pup!! Common sense tells you, when helping dog to sluff off their undercoat… Its necessary to brush the entire dog. If, the goal is to eliminate hair left throughout the house- Then, you must do 100% of the pup!! Trust me- you’d be surprised how much hair is transferred by just from their face alone.. I realize this is tricky process but, safely do the best you can.. if, puppy allows- it will be worth it in the end!! If you’re not able to use rake on tiny areas- at very least give those spots a good brushing or, a rigorous rub with a towel to discard any loose hair. The trick to this working and gaining a fur free home- is to use everyday!!! A commitment? sure!! But, once a day you’ll get quite fast at doing this- and still be shocked how much hair freely releases from your dog. Wait till you see it for yourself- (just think IF, this wasn’t brushed out using this devise- that hair would be all over inside your home!!) Trust me, you could create a new puppy within 1-2 days with extra fur! Once a daily routine of raking is done.. things will calm down. Then, you can move to x2-3 week. But, for any who hates dog hair houses (trust me everyone who visits hates it… They just don’t tell you!) this will pay off x1000!!! Plus, your pup will be so much more content- imagine itch/heat relief your giving to them.. especially in summer months! I can’t believe how our pups demeanor visibly changed..believe me or, not!! But, it makes sense when you’re less hot and irritated- life is better! That alone is worth it to use- Trust me, you’ll get more then your $ worth with this tool!!!Sorry so long winded… I spent a lot of time doing my homework with this because, I AM the one with the allergy and I’m also, the mom!!!! I know that a fur clean house and allergy free must go hand in hand!Really- I hope this info. can you help some of you- feel free to let me know!

Works like a charm! Best deshedding tool for my dog.
It really removes a lot of hair without cutting the fur like other tools. By removing some of the under coat it reduces top coat shedding.

    Best stripping rake I have
I have a variety of stripping knives/combs/rakes, and this one is the best for removing spay coat and excess undercoat.

Tool is great, came in a little bent.
This tool works exactly how you would expect a tool from Andis to work, great! The reason for the 4 stars is that the packaging looked put together. Like it had been removed from the original and just ziptied to the inside packaging. Due to that, a couple of the teeth were a little bent. I was able to straighten them out and there was no need to return the product.

This is the best deshedding rake I have tried yet. So impressed with how much it is able to remove. The dog looks better and better with every time it is used.

ANDIS PREMIUM SUPERFINE DESHEDDING RAKEI bought this deshedding rake after seeing it being used by a professional groomer on YouTube.I have had it now for about 1 week & was surprised at just how easily & how well it removes the dead undercoat fur. (By the way, I’m not sure why it says “Black” in the description heading because the tool I received is white & green as per the photo)I purchased the regular version of this tool about 2 weeks ago, it has half the number of teeth as this one & the teeth are spaced 2mm apart, whereas the this rake’s teeth are 1mm apart. The widths of the heads of both rakes are the same.So after going through the dog’s coat with the regular rake, use this rake & it will surprise you how much more dead fur is removed. If you have a double coated dog, I would highly recommend buying this tool & using it after first going through the coat with the regular rake. The regular rake with its wider apart teeth will go through a thicker undercoat more easily, making it easier for this fine tooth rake to do its job. These tools are very efficient, easy to use, don’t bother the dog, they will also prevent that dead fur from falling out all over your house & your dog will likely feel better as well, after that dead fur has been removed. It also helps the dog’s top coat lie flatter against it body.I highly recommend this tool, it’s a very high quality product.Andis make very good, professional quality products.

I bought this based on reviews and I am sooooooo happy I did. I have an English Springer spaniel, he is the active hunting type so he has a really thick undercoat that sheds like crazy in the spring. I decided I had to finally invest in a better shedding tool. In the days leading to recieving this brush I had been consistently brushing and even bathed him. I thought I had got most of his undercoat out and boy was I wrong. On the first pass I got a huge mass of thick undercoat fur I know by the light brown colour that it is coming from under his mostly white coat. After about 5 minutes I had a huge pile of fur (see photo!) I thought it must be hurting him, he did not mind it at all, less so than the rake type brush I usually use as there is no way the teeth/hooks are long enough to scratch his skin. I very rarely write reviews but I felt I had too. I had a husky many years ago and I wish would have had something like this for her.
