Great for Puppies
This is a great toy for puppies in particular because itâs made of fleece, so itâs gentle on their teeth. The long length means you donât have to bend down to play with them AND it keeps your hand far from those sharp puppy teeth. Itâs also a good toy for small kids to use with their dogs for that same reason.

Very nice for tug
We play with this inside. My dog gets quite excited when playing tug and can tend to accidentally grab at my hand, so having the length is really great. I also like the give that it has, kind of a bit of bounce to it while playing which makes it gentler on their mouth.It’s not braided all that tight though and didn’t take long for it to start to loosen and tear a bit with her strength. That was easily remedied, however as I just made another know in the middle whenever it started to get loose or tear which fixed that section and we were back to playing! She likes it and we play with it quite a bit.

For pups with soft mouths
This tug toy works great for my pup as an indoor toy. Chloe has a soft mouth and does play tug with the toy but mostly she likes the interaction with the human attached to the other end of the tug toy. I don’t think the toy would hold up for a strong dog with a strong bite or chew. The material is soft; good for a young puppy or a dog like Chloe.The material of the toy will likely absorb water so I wouldn’t leave it outdoors between play sessions. I gave it for three stars because I don’t believe it is appropriate for all dogs. And I would advise supervision when your dog is playing with it.It’s a nice addition to the winter toy box for the right pups.
