Useless cap
The shampoo is fine. Weâve used it twice in our dog. He has very sensitive skin and this hasnât seemed to cause him any issues. The label could be a little more clear that itâs dog shampoo and not baby shampoo. The cap on the bottle is supposed to be designed to pop it open and squeeze the shampoo out. It does not work at all. We have to take the cap off to get the shampoo out.

Used this for my puppies first bath.
We have had a recent litter, and I have been waiting for this shampoo to try it out on them for their first bath. The shampoo has a baby shampoo fragrance more than a cucumber melon that it’s described as. It’s nice and subtle and smells good. We love how mild it is. It foams up immediately and leaves a nice fragrance on the pups even when washed off, as the scent lingers nicely. Their coats are now nice and shiny, and I know this is a product that I don’t have to worry about using with my dogs, as the ingredients are all natural and clean. Excellent buy. 5 stars.

Off putting scent
I used this on my 9 week old puppy and my 3 year old breeder rescue. I diluted 5 to 1 like the directions instructed. The shampoo lathered well and rinsed well. Left their coats shiny and felt clean.My issue with the shampoo is the fragrance. Neither my husband or myself like the smell of it. It smells like an old lady powder scent, and nothing like cucumber mango. 24 hours later and my dogs still smell heavily of the scent.

Mild Shampoo
Great shampoo for my Min Pin. He has sensitive skin that dries out easily. So far, we have not had any issues with this shampoo. The ingredients are very gentle and mostly natural; a lot of extracts and other plant-based cleansers. The scent is okay. It says Cucumber Melon, but smells more floral-powdery to me. Still cleans and makes him smell nice (up until he goes outside again, ha. He’s just naturally stinky). Overall, I definitely recommend based on the ingredients alone.

Now that I see the ingredients, I won’t use it
I was excited to order this P.E.T. “Baby Mild” shampoo, especially for puppies and kittens, as we recently rescued a feral kitten who needed a gentle bath and it was difficult to find something that fit the bill (a dishs oap that used to be recommended is now concentrated and no longer the go-to). This P.E.T. shampoo claims to be hypoallergenic and mild, but I was concerned to find some questionable ingredients listed on the label.One ingredient that immediately stands out is capsicum extract, which comes from hot peppers. I was surprised to see this in a shampoo for animalsâespecially for puppies and kittensâsince capsicum is known to be unsafe for both dogs and cats. Additionally, citrus extract is listed, another ingredient that should generally be avoided for pets due to potential skin irritation and ingestion risks.The label highlights aloe as a key ingredient, but itâs notably missing from the actual ingredient list, which raises more questions.As for the scent, the label describes it as “cucumber-melon,” but to me, it smells exactly like baby shampoo. Perhaps baby shampoo has always smelled like cucumber-melonâIâm not sure.Ultimately, the discrepancies on the label, combined with ingredients I find concerning, leave me resistant to using this product on my pets. Iâm not willing to take risks with my fur-babies, so Iâll be looking for an alternative.

Gentle soap
I love the mildness of this soap, cruelty free, safe ingredients.The smell is off for me though, donât get me wrong it still smells good, but the fragrance listed is cucumber melon and this definitely smells like baby soap, like something Iâd use for my infant son. I like the smell of it, just not what I was expecting, so I docked a star.Works great and gentle with no adverse reactions.At the time of this review, the price is 14.97 for 16 oz, Iâm sure there are cheaper ones out there, but for the safety of ingredients, it feels worth it to me and my pupWould recommend, just be aware of the scent not being accurate

This shampoo leaves a sweet sent that lingers for A while. It leaves the coat soft and fluffy. I like to bathe my dog often so using a mild shampoo works well.
