This has worked AWESOME for my baby from 7 to 11 months old!
I bought this playpen because my 7 month old is learning how to army crawl her way into trouble, and my house layout is difficult to babyproof.This was easy to assemble by myself with sturdy metal poles and simple instructions. The play mat is made of an easy to clean waterproof material and is lightly cushioned (it is a little thinner than some others, but has enough cushion to protect from falls). My daughter gets to do a little independent play while I can catch up on dishes and she feels safe/secure nearby. Its easy to step over the side of it to get to her, but high enough that I dont worry about her climbing out. It was a good price compared to other playpens on Amazon as well.I set this up when my daughter was around 6 or 7 months and I am still using it now that she is 11 months old. It has worked well for the transitions between rolling, crawling, standing, and walking. It is still sturdy with all of her craziness and I am happy to know that she is safe/secure.It comes with some toys as well. The basketball hoop has been pretty pointless for now, but the pull up rings are my daughter’s FAVORITE! I think these rings really helped her with standing, balance, and walking because she used them all the time. It gave her some independence to learn motor skills and she is now walking at 11 months!!One honest con about this is that the playmat has little alphabet/number indentations in it. My baby loves the textile aspect of feeling the grooves, but I don’t like how cleaning products collect in the spaces. Because of this, I often clean with a cleaner, then wipe the cleaner off several times with plain water so that there aren’t any chemicals left behind (even if they are baby safe cleaners, I get a bit paranoid).If you are looking for a playpen that is sturdy, safe/secure, and big enough to grow with your baby, I would recommend buying this!Hope this review was helpful!

Plenty of room for play
This playpen is wonderful, and we use it every day. My wife and I are the grandparents and are daycare providers four days a week. This large playpen has enough space to put anything in there that helps occupy a one-year-old’s mind with room to spare. It’s big enough that my wife and I have both been in it, and there is still plenty of room for the little one to play.I want to point out that although it is large and you’ll need a bit of floor space to use it, it’s so light we can put it up in the evenings or even move it to another room or lanai. It’s not meant to be sat on or leaned heavily against the sides, it’s still quite sturdy. The bottom is washable and it will hold up well and it helps that it is slightly padded. The pockets and grab handles are great as they come with the unit and make it more usable.I don’t think you can go wrong with this unit!

Massive and awesome!
We bought this playpen for our almost 8-month-old crawling machine. We needed a confined play area for those times when we need to put him down.The shipping was a little slow, but still had it within 6 days. The package was lighter than expected and came with aluminum rods (some having a layer of foam), plastic T-connecters, the material for the pen (1 piece), a bag, and the bottom mat. The mat is reversible. One side had some road and car artwork, while the other side had some cute cartoon bears.Assembling the pen was easy enough. I did it myself in about a half hour. The rods fit easily into the T-connectors while also not need too much muscle to get the rods to fit snugly. The rods that don’t have any foam make up the base of the frame, while the rods with the foam jackets are for the side and tops. It’s soft enough that when my baby is sure to stumble and hit his head on one, it won’t hurt as much. The mat is a smidgen larger than the interior size of the bottom, allowing the pad to rest over the rods that don’t have the foam jackets.The pen has two doors, each on the longest sides of the pen. The zippers are on the more pitiful side. I wish they were a bit thicker or sturdier feeling. Four of the corner T-connectors have suction cups, and with our bamboo floors, they may or may not stick. If you have something less porous, such as a hardwood, you may have better luck. The overall height of the pen is easy to step or bend over to get to kiddo. Or you can opt to crawl through one of the doors. I would have liked to have had a gate option for adults to more easily get in and out, but even at 5’1″, it isn’t too difficult for me. The top of the pen reaches the top part of my thigh.The size of the pen is great in that it is large, enough to put all of kiddos toys and jumper while leaving room for him to crawl around and play. The jumper makes that room a little smaller, but not bad.I also like that the pen came with 2 sets of handles that attach to the top frame, giving kiddo something to work on pulling himself up, should he want to practice standing.Overall, very happy with the purchase, and would recommend, as long as you have the extra space for this.
