Long before they’re able to talk, babies have a whole lot to say! Widen their world with this delightful modern classic—a must-have for growing families and a perfect baby shower or new-baby gift.
With this adorable board book of essential signs, babies and toddlers can easily learn how to communicate their needs, wants, and feelings and even make basic observations with a simple gesture. Studies show that babies who use sign language feel less frustrated, throw fewer tantrums, and often learn to talk more easily. Just point to a sign in the book, say the word while making the sign, and the baby will soon be signing. Communicating a wet diaper or a hungry belly, asking for help or saying “all done” becomes as easy as waving hello or good-bye. And these are just a few of the thirteen signs inside this small and adorably illustrated board book, perfect for little hands and minds to grasp.

Taught my baby to sign to communicate
We started teaching her the signs and used them consistently with her from 6 months. She’s now 10 months and signs to us to communicate what she needs. It alleviates a lot of frustration for her. Easy book, love it!

Helping my baby communicate with me
I am trying to teach my toddler basic essential sign language for babies. I like this book it shows an example of how a baby might use this sign and has a written description for the parent so they can effectively and accurately show their baby how to do the sign. My 15 month old has no problem holding this book or flipping through the pages.

Great as a gift
My great-great grandchild loves to have this book read to her and she is learning to sign even though she is barely one…

He now feels that he can communicate what he needs better and seems much more patient when trying to express …
This book has been so helpful for teaching our toddler more sign language! He had been very frustrated by only having words for some things and not being able to communicate what he wanted and was throwing tantrums. He really enjoys looking at the pictures in this book and we have spent time practicing the signs with him.It has helped immensely!!!! No more tantrums! He now feels that he can communicate what he needs better and seems much more patient when trying to express himself. My only complaint is that a few of the signs don’t seem as useful to our kiddo, like cat and dog, (it seems most kids who like cats and dogs create their own words or signs for them at a young age), and could be replaced by more commonly useful things like “hungry” or “thank you”.But all in all a really great tool for helping little ones communicate! We definitely plan on starting this earlier with our next baby!

Nice
While I didnât end up teaching my son very much sign language⦠I still really liked this book. Itâs a board book, but the pages are more on the thin side. The signs were simple and easy to understand.

There’s hardly a handful of signs in the Kindle version. I can get more free stuff online. What’s the use of purchasing?
