Perfect for my son’s needs
Smaller than expected but it was a nice surprise. I wanted it to be pretty discreet because my son is a little older and wouldn’t have appreciated a large koala in his bed. The noise quality is awesome. We love the assortment of sound and the quality is clear. You can turn the volume really low and still hear it with clarity. I’ve heard better white noise than what this one has to offer but that is ok. My son’s favorites are the birds, ocean waves, and campfire. He’s 11 and needed a sound machine to help him work through some medical issues. It was important to us that the light could be turned off completely and this one does. He lets it run all night long. We cut the silicone window suction cup and string off with no issues. I appreciate this sound machine does not have any bluetooth functions. EMF is so bad right next to your head all night. Happy with this order!

Volume button is the same as Skip
First and foremost, this koala sound machine is absolutely adorable. I use it in my preschool classroom because it soothes the kids while they eat. There are several different sounds, but the volume + and – is also the ‘next’ or skip function, so if you want to change the volume, it skips to the next sound. I haven’t quite figured out how to skip without affecting the volume and vice-versa. I wish it was a bit more user friendly. The volume is great and the sound does carry well. I am impressed overall with the quality. Only complaint are the buttons and their multi-functions.

12 sound effects very soothing, easy to use
Koala time sound machine is a nice sound machine/ Blue tooth device. It was easy to charge, the directions are helpful , explains the buttons. . The play pause button, The volume up and down are also used to change to next song, or previous. The power button switches to Bluetooth , you have to press twice to get to Bluetooth mode. It has 30, 60 and 90 minute timer settings. The buttons are small but easy to use. The sound quality is ok in Bluetooth mode, the sound is better with the 12 sound effects, my favorite is crickets chirp and rain. The koala bear has a soft breathing light on its nose. I have not noticed anywhere you can tell the battery life, other then that it is a decent product.

Buttons are a deal breaker
The design of this sound machine was a cute idea, but fails when it comes to function. The main problem that drives me nuts are the controls. Not intuitive or user friendly at all. They are the tiny orange “pads” on the paws of the koala. When I say tiny, I mean TINY. I don’t even know what to compare them to when it comes to size… maybe the diameter of a peppercorn? They have indented symbols for their function, but you cannot see them unless it is close to your face and you look at it at an angle so you can see the symbol image. Well it’s not too hard to eventually learn and memorize which paw pad button does what, so maybe it’s not that bad right? Well, they decided to give more than one function to each button depending on if you quick press it or long press it. This is also a fail because the volume up and down buttons also double as the fast forward and back buttons for the tracks/songs. Still not that bad? Well they decided to make the skip track function be the quick press and the volume function be the long press. This is extremely frustrating if you are trying to adjust the volume as there’s not “steps” for the volume levels. You just hold it down as it cycles up and down, loud to soft and back up again. This makes it very difficult to get it right where you want it to be. AND while trying to get the volume right, I often don’t hold down the button long enough and it will count it as a short press and skip the track to the next song. I would give this zero stars just because of how frustrating the interface is. However, it does sound good and is pretty well made when it comes to durably. I tried using this with the suction cup at the end of the lanyard and it’s fallen several times as the suction is not strong enough. Still works great despite the falls.
