This pad works very well for those “accidents.”It is soft, absorbent, and doesn’t make too much noise when you roll over on it.Does well in the washing machine (gentle cycle), but if you must put it in the dryer, use the lowest temperature possibly for the least amount of time possible.

I cannot say how it would work with someone convalescing at home. Did not get to try it with possibility of accidents. Unfortunately patient passed.But did use them to help lay around the home because our cat had uti issues so was peeing. Worked for that.Do think the quality was like in the hospital. Also value for amount you get. And arrived quickly.
