Fun for parakeet
I use this with my parakeets, they like it and it is fun to let them fly around.

too many small parts
I had high hopes of using these bird leashes since I have several medium-sized birds that are tame and like to come out of their cages daily. I would feel more secure with them secured on a leash, and I have used bird harnesses before. However, there are many pieces to each one of these leashes that have to be assembled. The part that goes on the bird’s leg is made of leather and you fold it around the bird’s leg. I am not going to try this for a couple of reasons. The bird will be able to slip its foot from this easily. One of the “pieces” is a zip tie which I am not going to use on a bird. The legs of my medium birds is about the size of 3 toothpicks held together. If the bird struggles or pulls with this leash on, it could possibly break its own leg. These may be good for large birds with thicker legs, but not for smaller ones. There are no instructions included with this item either to tell you how to put it on the bird or how to assemble the small parts. I give it 3 stars for the idea, as it could work with better planning and construction. Just not practical to use on animals in my opinion.

Not safe!
This is not a safe product for small pet birds! Their bones are too fragile in their legs for this
