Durable and comfortable
Both of our dogs have these collars. The handle is great for that extra needed tug if fido doesn’t have a leash on. The padding and craftsmanship of the collar is lovely.The only con is that the clasp is fairly easily knocked open. It might just be the one we purchased, as it’s only happened to one of our dogs… Multiple times. We use martingale collars for walks, and if our puller pulls just the right way, the Rhino collar pops off. So, if you’re a dual collar walker- that’s something to look out for.

Have had no issues with XXL puppy collar
3months in:One of the only collars I found that would fit his huge neck. You canât see the collar well on my dog with his long fur, but thatâs why the handle is my best friend. My pup is a runner so a strong collar is all I can accept, the lock feature has never been an issue and the handle is still sturdy and stitched on well. Itâs extra thick but has a nice foamy padding for the pups comfort. Absolutely no problem, and I have a Tibetan mastiff Great Pyrenees who is strong and stubborn.10 months in:We had our first issue with the collar, but it was just the seam coming apart on the handle so the D ring is on the handle itself. We will be replacing it, but getting exactly the same collar.Hope this helps.

High quality and it shows
Awesome collar made from what appears to be very durable material, i expect it will last a very long time. Stitching is immaculate and reinforced in the right places. Handle is firm and sturdy, youll let go before it would ever rip. Last but not least is the buckle, looks great and makes it a breeze to take collar on and off. If i get another dog i would absolutely purchase another black rhino collar.Tldr, 5 stars would buy again

Does NOT stay securely latched!
If you are using ONLY this for walking/leashing/tie out of a dog… do NOT trust the closure to hold any dog who give the claps ANY tension. I purchased for my loving, but strong pittie, only as a form of wearing his identification tags (he is ALWAYS in a secure harness when on leash/tie out with me outdoors)… he decided to try to sneak past my toddler when he opened the door, and as I utilized the whole purpose of this collar (the handle) to grab him before he ran off… it popped right off of him. Luckily, a “here” command and treat reward got him back before he ran off. This is NOT a secure clasp, at all. He was even able to get it off his neck my sinply ROLLING in the grass. After those incidents, I tried many different “tactical” style collars with handles, all which failed in same way. If you are using this type of clasp for leasing or trying to KEEP your dog contained using handle, do NOT purchase this one, or ANY that do not have an either locking buckle clasp, or a slip-on/then adjust to fit option. We chose slip on/adjust to fit, which is simply made to fit after after loosely slipping over their head and then sizing appropriately. I work in animal rescue and have notified ALL shelters and rescues to never trust a collar like this for their in house animals, or adopted out pets. Flight risk x 1,000.

My dog ate it
I have no idea how this happened. I came home from work one day and the collar was off of my pup and it seems she has eaten it. The latch and all metal pieces she managed to not touch by the fabric portion of the collar we chewed up into 3 pieces. How she got it off I have no idea. Maybe a faulty locking mechanism. I had just had her out at the park several hours prior so I know it was on appropriately. Has me puzzled. Other than her eating it it is a great product. My other dog is still wearing hers with no issues. Wish I would have already gotten more than two months out of this collar haha.

Control in your hands
I have a dog who likes to pull away when I grab hold of her collar to take her outside. Other collars slip off her and she bolts. Control lost. This collar is thicker/wider and the handle has a calmer effect on her and she responds so much better with this collar. #grateful.

Could be a great collar.
Let’s start off with the good. First the color is amazing! Ive washed the collar twice and the color has stayed intact. The collar is very durable and sturdy. I have an American Staffy, she pulls. This collar doesn’t even budge when she pulls. When having a bully breed, I always like to make sure I have a good quality collar to prevent any mishaps. I love the handle feature because I can grap ahold of my dog in any situation where I need to have control. I have used the handle a few times and it works amazing! The inside of the collar is padded. Which is also amazing! My baby girl gets excited to put her collar on!Now the ONLY bad thing about this collar is it just randomly comes off. At first it happened like one or two times withintwo weeks. I just shrugged it off and thought maybe my kiddos grabbed the buckle. Now it’s getting to the point where it’s just comes off for no reason at least once a day sometimes twice. I still wanted to believe this was something of my fault or kids because I absolutely LOVE this collar. Well within the last two days, it has come off when she was sleeping. We went to our bed, she went to her bed. When we got up in the morning it was lying in her bed. Then today as I am taking her leash off of her harness the collar just pops off. This is really upsetting because I just can’t risk the chance of it coming off in a situation where I need it. I don’t know if maybe it’s not supposed to be used full time? She always wears her collar because you never know what cam happen and I always want people to be able to identify her and get her hoke safe. Maybe I just got a faulty buckle? The collar is great quality and very durable. I just have a problem with the buckle.
