My dog loves this!
I have a hard core chewer and this rope stands up to her chewing far better than other ropes. It’s softer than less expensive ropes yet is still sturdy, with good thickness and three knots for pulling, ground and chewing. She’ll still reduce this to a ball of threads, but it takes weeks/months for her to reach this goal. It does a pretty good job of keeping dental plaque down, according to her vet. These ropes are meant to be chewed up, which is why the spearmint strands are twisted throughout. They don’t shred into threads as badly as less expensive ropes so don’t make a bad of a mess on your floor. As a matter of fact, my dog still has one of the knots from her very first rope from three years ago and treats it like a woobie. She sleeps with it at night and takes it with her on car rides. This latest one is getting the same treatment, making it worth having to vacuum up the occasional strings from the carpet.Your dog will love having a tasty pull rope and you’ll love the clean dental exams at the vet.

super long, sturdy rope toy
i have a german shepherd dog and she very much likes to play tug. i bought her this rope bone specifically because it is long. i will be getting a german shepherd puppy over the next few months, and i figured that my current girl would play tug with the puppy, but i wanted there to be some space between them, so as to minimize the chance of my big girl shifting her grip and hurting the puppy. this rope will be excellent for that, as it is quite long. it is also quite substantial, so i think it will last a while. my girl doesn’t spend time chewing on her rope — she just tugs on it when you hold the other end — but of yours like to gnaw on such things, it might not hold up for long.

Puppy love!
This rope is a sturdy soft and thick rope, not too heavy, perfect size for any dog! Worth every cent!

Great rope toy, wrong sizing information
My dog loves this rope toy. We play with it multiple times every day, and go at it pretty hard. I have noticed that after a while one end knot or the other comes undone. It’s usually not a big deal and I just knot it back up tight, and that’s when I start thinking it’s time to get another one. They are very durable compared to other rope toys, but they don’t last forever. The one complaint I have is that the product sizing information is incorrect, so don’t be misled. I have contacted Amazon to let them know, so we’ll see if it gets corrected. The “Large” is actually medium-sized at best. The item I received is maybe 18″ long, NOT 30.2″ long as shown on the website. If you have a good-sized dog, I’d recommend the XLarge which is much thicker, more durable, and longer.

Ropes Are NOT Chew Toys, Folks
Itâs always funny/annoying to me when I see reviewers complain about ropes only lasting a day or two lol. I can save you some time and let you know that ropes are only meant to be interactive tug of war toys for you and your dog (or two dogâs playing together), and there is not a single rope out there that will stand up to being ripped apart if you just let your dog use it as a chew toy. They will pin it down under their paws, and they will rip at the strands individually until the whole things comes apart (which can be terrible for their stomachs if they eat a bunch of the strands).Anyway, as for this rope, it is indeed sturdy enough when youâre using it to play with your dog, but if you are looking for something to throw out onto the floor as a distraction, then ropes are never going to be a good option for that. Bring this thing out when you are ready to play with your dog, and store it somewhere when you arenât using it!

Good price, not too durable.
The rope is nice and I liked the price. But the threads making up the rope are pretty loose and the photos are after one good session of tug and a couple of minutes of her playing alone. Sheâs a small-medium dog about 20lbs. Not a heavy chewer. Her teeth still pulled some of the threads loose and Iâm not optimistic about the longevity of the rope overall. However, it is fun while it lasts!

Best rope toy!
You really can’t beat this rope toy, especially for the price. I just replaced our first one after >6 months of heavy use (and many trips to the washing machine). Our dog loves to play tug with it and often just entertains himself by gnawing on the knots. The only thing to keep in mind is it’s kind of large and wouldn’t really be fun/possible for a very small dog to play with. Our dog wasn’t able to use it as a puppy (we ended up buying a smaller rope) until he was about 15ish lbs. Since then he’s loved it!

Durable Tug Toy At Last
Update: Finally after year two, our feisty basenji Maggie got one of the knots loose and started unraveling the end. So I’m back to buy another one. This continues to be her favorite toy when she visits. We’re just amazed at how long it has lasted! By the way, we just cut off the untied knot section of the rope and kept the two-knot rope to see how much longer it lasts. This was a gift for my daughter’s basenji, who loves tug toys, but quickly destroys most of them. We’ve had this for about a year now, and it’s still intact. It’s the first toy Maggie runs for when she comes to visit me. She’ll play tug for a while and then take it by the center knot and shake it like crazy. The three knots are very sturdy and have held up very well. The braiding between the knots is tight and firm. This toy still looks like new (except for a little dirt). It appears to be made of cotton, and I’m sure I could throw it in the washing machine if needed.

My daughter has a frenchie and this is a very good size for him. He enjoys playing with it so it must be a good rope.

Mi perro destroza todos sus juguetes y esta cuerda se mantiene bastante intacta. Es gruesa, de buena calidad y tiene buen aroma.
