The best nail grinder! For any size dog xxs
This nail grinder is extremely quiet and very good. My little puppy who is only 5lbs who is an xxs, who is just a year old is afraid of the dremals at the groomer and my old one I had at home she really didnât like it either. This brand she doesnât seem to mind . The small hole is actually big enough to get her nail on it without being too small and without manipulating the pupâs nail to get it in the spot like many of the other Drexelâs I have found to require you to move the nail to get it to fit in the dremel for any a second or so before the pup moves it out again. On the first time using it she allowed me to get 3 of her paws completely dremeled before getting impatient and moving on me Of course with some treats. I didnât want to over do it the first time using it I wanted my pup to get use to it I did it in a few minutes apart and within about 10 minutes I did get 3 of her paws done. Maybe if i had done 5 more minutes she would have allowed me to get the last paw but like I said I did it in sessions as not to overdo it the first time out. Also with this dremel she was very curious and didnât mind the sound my old dremel she would be curious but as the sound would start she would run even though it was quiet but not as quiet as this new oneMy mom had a bad nail on her foot and it was jagged and couldnât get it with human clippers or nail file to get it so she said try the dremel and we used it like for a larger dog and it worked perfectly for my momâs nail as well.We love the led light as itâs on both sides so it doesnât matter how itâs being held itâs quiet and easy to use love the 2 settings for slowe(which is pretty fast) and fast mode both are extremely quiet and efficient and does a great job no matter the setting. It does come with the usb cord to charge but if you need a block you must purchase that piece ( I have an extension cord that allows me to insert usb cords without a charging block )Overall As you can tell I would highly recommend this dremel for anyone itâs great for extra extra small to x large dogs( my mom toenail – even took evened her calcus as well) definitely recommend and worth the price!

Super Quiet
This little unit works really well. I have a big hound mix, once showed him what is was and he got to nose the handle. I turned on the switch. He was calm. I was able to do his nails with no problem. It grind and everything turns to dust. Works fast so be mindful of the quick.Charged fast and itâs been a week and still plenty of battery. Seems to be really durable and easy to use.

Works great for filing, but gets hot
I use this to keep my dogs nails under control. If I clip her nails first then use this to quickly soften the tips so they arent snagging anything, it’s perfect. But on occasion if I use it too long, like she has really thick claws and a couple nails that are particularly strong, then the metal part gets hot and she starts flinching and pulling away from me. I have to stop filing periodically to let it cool before continuing on.All in all though, I would purchase again and have recommended to others. It’s a good design over some others I’ve used, and it’s so quiet that my nervous Nelly dog doesn’t run from me when I turn it on like she always did with other dremels.

3 year update** first of these, but Iâm glad I got this
2024 update **** itâs been I think 3 years and I just want to say this item is flawless. I trim with a mix of clippers first, and then any rough areas I touch up with this. Where this shines for me though is one of my 13lb dogs gets very thick nails that want to curl in quickly. Theyâre narrow but very thick and close to her pads. Thereâs only 2-3 trouble ones but I donât know how Iâd do them without this. Even the smallest clippers want to cut her pads and any other styles thereâs not enough room to address them.I still cant compare it to any others because this was my first and only one of these type items. Weâre doing just fine with the original grinding wheel and the unit is as quiet as when I got it. If I could remember that far back I could probably count the number of times Iâve ever charged it on two hands as well. Highly recommended this product. Increasing from 4 to 5 stars for outstanding quality and lifespan.I just got a new puppy and am looking forward to mostly maintaining her tiny nails with this for the time being.âââââââââOriginal unedited review:Iâve never had one of these type products. My 15lb pocket beagle has some finicky half dark nails though and she lets me use this on her without any issues. She showed some discomfort at first that was overcome with lots of small treats, but now after 4-5 sessions she almost fell asleep the other day while I worked and didnât need any treat rewards in the process.Iâm still working on getting them all to the length Iâd prefer, which is to say this method takes more time and more use than clippers, but her nails were too long when I started. My clippers always seemed too large for her small paws though, and I think we were both afraid of cutting her pads at times. I may use the clippers on the nails and lengths that they work on and then finish with this grinder. The unit makes very very little noise and itâs a steady low hum – no rattling or whining. I use it without the guard and to my knowledge have not pulled any hairs or got into her pads at all. The light seems to work perfectly well for us, I no longer need to wear a headlamp while doing her nails.Iâve only had it a couple months, but I think this is a great product and do recommend. Oh, and Iâm still on my first charge with no noticeable change in power output.

Great product
I really like the flash light, low noise, and ease of use for this product. My dog, who doesn’t love having his nails done actually did ok with it.

this grinder is very quiet and easy to hold. The light adds with seeing what you are doing .The cover for the grinder gives a choice at how you are going to do the nails . holds charge well and recharges quickly

This works very well for what it is supposed to do. There is a little slot on one side that the dogâs nail can fit in and a flat larger area on the other side. The noise level is nominal compared to some and my dog was unbothered by it. There is also a light to help keep the nail in view and to watch for the quick. Not super helpful with my bulldog as her nails are completely black but I imagine it would be quite nice for dogs with whiter nails.

Used on my Sphynx kitten (just over 4 months old) and she didn’t mind at all.Of course we went gradually and bribed with food. Wrapped in her blanky for extra comfort during the process. The device’s lights shine at the right place to make the process clear. The noise level is very low … Just enough to know it’s on.Sorry I didn’t take a video … If I can edit this after I’ll try to add one.
