Gentle effective brush!
My cats love this brush, and it does a great job at taking off extra fur from my ultra short hair cats. My boy never likes to be groomed but for some reason, he likes this brush. I’m thinking it might be due to one or more of the following: the spaces between the brush “combs” are far apart so they may pull less than many brushes; the brush handle, along with brush floor allow for a “lighter” touch against the cat’s skin while still being effective at trapping/removing fur; and the brush doesn’t make the brushing sound common with some brushes. (I own a cat breed that is very sensitive to sounds.) My girl loves being groomed and this one doesn’t seem better or worse, other than there are some breaks in grooming (to keep brush moist) that are distracting from her enjoying the grooming experience (but again, this may be a reason my boy likes it). The information that comes with the brush says to keep it wet. Well, my cats hate getting wet, so I skipped this after one try with it, but then found the brush didn’t work nearly as well when used dry. My solution is to keep a medium size wet sponge nearby. I brush, pull off fur, press the brush into the sponge, and repeat. It works great this way.I still like to get the final extra hairs left at the end of grooming with a furminator brush. She likes it and he tolerates it for the brief amount of time necesssry to finish off the grooming ritual. If you have a cat that is super sensitive to the type of brush you use, I think it’s well worth giving this one a try. It works well with less pressure on the cat’s skin.

Soft rubbery brush and collecting all hair from my British shorthair , much better then a metal brush

Edited to add: After 2 years of using this brush my cats still LOVE it. When I bring it out, the cats come running to be brushed!! One cat trills and squeaks as soon as he sees it. I love this brush as it brings a lot of happiness to my cats and is excellent at getting the hair.This cat brush is AMAZING!!!! My cats LOVE it. I have two cats and had heard from friends who have a cat that the silicone brushes are really good and their cat likes it. So I ordered this one after looking very carefully at basically every silicone cat brush available on Amazon. I was delighted when my cats liked it at first but very quickly it turned to love. If I start brushing one and the other is elsewhere (eg:top of cat condo) the other always comes over to be brushed as well. I’m thinking of getting a second one so I can brush them both at the same time. I recommended it to a friend and her cats also love it a lot. I’ve just ordered one for my sister’s cat. Every cat needs this! The bristles are very soft and flexible. I love seeing how much my cats enjoy being brushed with this and it’s really good at removing hair. I have both a long and short haired cat and it works wonderfully on both. They purr like crazy when brushed with this!
