Helps in my constant battle against FLUFF!
One of my cats has an extremely fluffy undercoat even though sheâs a shorthair, and that undercoat seems to just endlessly generate (and shed) more fluff than sheâs able to keep up with, grooming-wise. She also gets “dandruff”. I brush her a few times a week with a deshedding tool, and lucky for me she loves being brushed, because this is a cat who will NOT tolerate anything unless itâs 101% on her terms. Regardless, that grey fluff gets EVERYWHERE, no matter how hard I try to keep on top of brushing it out before it sheds all over the house. All of which is to say, this steam brush caught my eye as a potential additional tool in my arsenal of anti-floof devices. I was a bit worried at the word “steam”, but it turns out itâs more of a cool mist – weâre not talking about boiling water vapor here, luckily. Itâs really easy to use – just charge it up and use the little bottle provided to fill the device with water. Then you just turn it on (you can choose to have a lighter or less-light amount of mist) and brush away. My cat was a bit concerned at first, because this brush is obviously not what sheâs used to, but quickly decided that sheâs a fan, and loves being brushed with this thing. It does a good job of grabbing the loose fur from her fluffy undercoat, and the mist helps that fur clump together a bit so itâs not all flying off the brush before I can grab it. Thereâs a button on the back of the brush head that pushes the removed fur upwards so that itâs easy to pull it free of the bristles. The only minor annoyance is that itâs quite easy to accidentally turn the brush off during brushing, and/or accidentally change from one setting to another, because of the placement of the button on the handle. Other than that, this is a useful little tool to have around the place, and itâs cat-approved. It also comes with a little rake-shaped comb which doubles as a rattle to distract a cat who might not be so happy about being brushed as mine is.

The cats come running now
I thought that the cats would not like this because of the steam. Boy was I wrong. They absolutely love it. One of our little fur babies had a little dry skin apparently but a little steam massage treatment while brushing and he’s rubbing up and reaching for my hand with the brush as I’m attempting to brush his brother. The cats see me hold the brush up from down the hall and come tearing down the hall to be the first to get it. That is the sign of a good product to me.

Steam cat brush
I got this because my cat has always hated being brushed but I am so so tired of getting a face full of loose hair every time she comes up for a cuddle. So I decided to give this brush a try. I am SO GLAD that I did! It removes all the loose hair and because the hair is damp, it will stick to the brush. There is no scratching or pulling from the brush, it removes the hair so easily! The strange thing about this brush? My cat LOVES it! I honestly couldn’t believe that she not only sat for a brushing but was actually arching her back to get the itchy spots. The only thing I would change about it is where the on button is and only because I have accidently turned it off during a brushing session more times than I care to admit. Which is the only reason I removed one of the stars for this review.

Cat Steam Brush Spritz Defur Slicker Comb
I have a few long haired cats that their hair seems to get knotted and matted if they are not brushed on a regular basis. I try, but they arent as cooperative as I could hope. This helps get the best result in the shortest amount of brushing. They seem to enjoy the steam function. It collected a lot of hair from just a few moments of brushing and the benefit to the steamer is that it holds the hair on the brush instead of it whisping out into the air. Well worth the investment.

Not the best for scaredy cats
I have three cats. One loves being brushed, and the other two just tolerate it. The two tolerators are also a pair of scaredy cats. Everything is DANGER! They were highly concerned by the mist coming out of this brush and actively avoided the brush if I tried to bring it close to them. I can use the brush on them only without the mist. The cat who does love brushing and is a very brave boy needed to check out the misting before I could use it on him, but help liked it just fine. I think the mist does do a great job of keeping cat hair from going all over the place when I brush my brave boy.So the brush works as intended but is too intimidating for skittish cats!

Itâs gentle, effective, and versatile
It smoothly detangles and removes loose hair without pulling or causing discomfort. My cat even seems to enjoy the process, which makes grooming time stress-free for both of us. The compact design makes it perfect for travel. Iâve used it during trips, and itâs easy to carry and use, even on the go.

My cats seem to like it
This works a lot better at putting out âsteamâ (a mist really, as itâs not hot) than another brush I tried that really just didnât work at all. The slicker style bristles on this one work better on my shorthaired cat than on my longhaired cat. They both like the feel of the brush, but it removes more fur from my cat with shorter fur. Silicone brushes work better for my cat with longer fur. I like how easy it is to remove fur from this brush. It leaves my catsâ fur a little damp, but it eliminates static while brushing them. Both my cats also really like the extra rattle scratcher accessory.

Life the added cool steam function
The fur babies like to poke at me while I’m working in the office to give them some scratches and attention and I often used a brush like this. This one is the same but has the added water mist feature which seems to help to get some of the additional hair off of them.Since they were already used to the design, they didn’t care much about the new misting aspect, so win, win.Cats love it…easy to clean…all good
