Creative idea for a cat toy; can be configured a few different ways but wouldn’t call it a scratcher
The idea for this is really neat; it comes fully collapsed and you extend/stretch it out until it can be curved and touched back on itself. The magnets on the ends hold the ends together, and keep it in the donut configuration.What’s interesting is that you can ‘rotate’ it and change the configuration (see picture) so the cats have different ways to play with it….not that mine cared a lick about it. Of course that’s how cats are – you never know what they’ll be into. Ours love scratchers but this isn’t really a scratcher in the traditional sense. There isn’t really cardboard to dig into with their claws…its made of cardboard but not in the right orientation, I feel like.Given that my cats didn’t care and that it’s not exactly a scratcher, I can’t quite call this a five-star product but the idea is creative and our friend’s cats seemed a bit more interested, so perhaps this is just one of those ‘your mileage may vary’ type situations.A for creativity for sure; I think i spent more time playing with it than my cats did!

The way this toy easily changes shape interested my cat but only for a while. He lost interest soon after I introduced it. My female doesn’t play with toys at all so I wasn’t surprised she showed no interest. It’s no necessarily the toys fault. I’ve lived with many cats and usually as they age they are less interested in toys. I thought the toy was very innovative.
