My dogs love this!
This is my second one and will buy again and again. It is so easy to use and remove the collected hair.

Great for cats, maybe not as great for very thick or long dog coats.
My cat and I both love this brush. Metal tines are scary near eyes, and he was feral so it took some time for me to get near him with a brush. It’s easy to clean and seems well-made. I’ll be buying more to have around the house. I can see where it might not be as sturdy on a thick dog coat, but for cats it’s purrrfect. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)

I have bought this brush before, because my cat likes it. After awhile, the twist to raise & lower the bristles for cleaning, becomes hard to do. But it gets used for quite a long time before that happens, so time for a new brush.

fell apart
years ago i had a self clening brush, the best ever dog grooming de-shedder, it lasted for at least 15 years, think i got it at disneyland. This item, after a single use fell apart into two parts, and seem to have a broken attachment, thank goodness it was cheap. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Good But You Have To Be Careful Cleaning It.
This works well when brushing our long hair cat. By turning the head, the hair is pushed out of the teeth for easy cleaning. However if you go too far, the numerous teeth come out of the holes, and you cannot get the brush back together, In spite of this, my wife (and the cat) prefer this brush to others we have used. It is reasonably priced, so we just bought an extra to have on hand.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Years back I had brush like this for my dog and with my getting a new dog after all these years, I looked for the same brush. My prior dog loved it and my new one seems to, also. Plus, itâs cool the way the brush itself can be cleaned.
