My daughter is pregnant with grandchild #3, so that means you look for the bargains instead of the most expensive things out there. LOL These mattress protectors are an amazing deal, with 2, so you can change them out while doing laundry. She’s not my child that will do the laundry in the same day, so this works out perfect! Great find!

Leaked on first use
These feel very soft and could probably be used without a crib sheet over (but we used a crib sheet anyway just to give a little extra absorbency/softness). On the first night of use, my son took his little sippy cup to bed with water in it and it leaked out (probably 4oz) and soaked through the crib sheet, AND mattress protector. Fortunately we usually layer up with a mattress protector/crib sheet + ANOTHER mattress protector/crib sheet in case of middle of the night accidents so it did not damage the mattress, but it did leak enough that we had to strip the next layer off to dry. Super disappointed because these seemed so nice, but we got them to replace our old mattress protectors that were starting to leak the same way (after 2+ years of use), and they seem to have the same problem.Admittedly, a spilled water is significantly more liquid than a leaky diaper, but would imagine it’s close to the same amount as a true bedwetting incident once we’re potty training…so I’m a little concerned. We will try these one more time (maybe it was a one time anomaly) and I will update here if we have better luck.

This has definitely been a lifesaver, adding an extra layer of protection to our baby’s mini crib mattress, especially when we use a non-waterproof sheet. Honestly, I’d rather this get stained than the actual mattress. While baby hasn’t had a major accident yet, it has worked perfectly when she leaked through the sheets, blocking urine and milk from seeping into the mattress. The urine did leave a slight stain after a couple of uses, but since it’s underneath the bedsheet, it’s not really a concern for me. I also love how easy it is to wash. Despite being waterproof, it’s surprisingly soft and doesn’t feel or sound like plastic—it’s completely quiet at night, which is a huge plus. The only issue I had is that it didn’t fit our 38×24 mini crib mattress as perfectly as I expected. I double-checked the dimensions, and the cover is supposed to fit 38×24 mattresses, but it was a bit off in length. It could be the depth of our mattress, though I didn’t think that was the issue since there was extra fabric around the sides. Regardless, it still covered about 99% of the surface, so it wasn’t a major problem—just a bit odd.P.S. The pictures are of the second sheet, which we’ve just started using, so there’s no staining yet.

These mattress protectors are fabulous. They are quilted, soft and have super tight elasticated edges that wrap deep under the mattress. They fit perfectly and they are completely noiseless. The best feature of these protectors is the price, a must buy, you won’t find another quality mattress protector at this price easily.
