more designed for medium or non-pulling breeds
I have three large pittie mixes, each with different views on car rides. All wear harnesses and the seatbelt or securing attachment to the car is connected to that (instead of collars, for safety). My other ones are looped around the headrest, so I wanted to try something a bit more secure, like this one. That it connects into the seat belt receiver is great, since that locks to it just like a regular seat belt (and if it’s good enough for me, it’s good enough for my pups).The strap isn’t very wide so I have concerns about the holding power for my more active car riders (one likes to move around in the back seat to check out the view from both side windows). It’s a nice pink color so I can see it more easily at night instead of a color that might blend into the seats or interior of the car. If you have a taller dog, this might not extend long enough for them to sit up comfortably in the car seats. It also won’t allow much movement for medium-sized pups at it’s longest (I’m think today’s larger cars, not smaller sedans). I drive a larger SUV so it’s wider and there’s space between the captains chairs in the 2nd row. My dogs would have trouble changing seats or positions with this puppy seat belt.

Only attach to a harness
While the only truly safe seatbelt for your dog is one that is tested by the same testers that test the cars for people, this is better than no seatbelt. This is extremely important to note….don’t use this to attach to a collar. If you do, and you have to stop short you can hang your dog or snap their neck. It is very dangerous on their neck.When you use this in conjunction with a harness and have to stop short the force will be on their body, as with humans. The belt itself plugs into any seatbelt and has a very durable clasp to attach to the harness. It has a slight give to it and reflective qualities.Do your research before using any safety constraint. I could save a life or limit injury.

Worked well for my puppy
I have a 4 month old cockapoo, and this was great for her car seat. Easy to attach to both her and the car seat. The bungee gives just a little bit of leeway, but still keeps her within the car seat. The pink is really pretty for my little gal!

Great quality product with a nice finish. The only thing that could be improved is the sharp metal clip that you insert into the actual seat belt. It could have rounder, thicker edging to also prevent it fraying over time, as some of these similar products do.

Easy to use.Please note: the carabiner on the product is a screw lock, and is thus possibly more difficult to use by those with mobility issues.Other than that, the seat belt is easy to attach and is long enough to keep my dog comfortable in the car, but short enough to keep her safe.I recommend this product.
