worked just fine
The nails were left with very smooth edges, nicely shaped, and the bit fit just fine on my Dremel. I actually tried it on my own big toe nails, which have always been quite hard, and there was no overheating at all so I then had no worries on burning dog’s toes. It was nice that the bit came in a sturdy little plastic container which I will keep the bit in since it is a little long to fit standing up in the bit holder of my Dremel kit. That way it won’t get knocked around against other things in the tray area. I am pleased so far with this item. It showed no indication of any wear after one use on tough nails, so that is so far so good, but still, it is just one use. At this point I see no negatives, and it definitely worked better than any of the bits that were in my kit. I think this can be used quite nicely to do the nails entirely rather than using clippers and just dubbing edges afterwards to smooth them.Since the drill bit surface does not get hot, it should also work nicely on smoothing plastic edges after cutting them, or shaping them a bit, too.

Great finish on dog nails
I’ve been using this at work for about a week, mostly on small dogs, and I really prefer the finish I get over paper grinders. The gold finish on this one is already wearing off in a few places but that’s not a problem for me. I got a second diamond bit from another company at the same time to do a comparison (the Dog Nail Grinder Dremel Bits – Dog Nail Grinder Attachment from the Asozeer Store) and noticed that the grain on this model is a little rougher. I’m not a huge fan of the shape with the double curve, but the bowl on the end is nice for rounding off nail tips and the flared edge is GREAT for getting between the nail edge and the paw pad on dogs that have nails growing close to their pads. You’ll need to use a little more force or crank up the dremel to a higher speed to get it to work most efficiently. I find this to be true about diamond bits in general. The paper nail grinders are faster but the diamond bits get a nicer finish.

Easy to use
This was great! I was Leary because my dog, as she has gotten older, has been putting up more and more of a fight when I clip her nails with yanking her leg out of my hand. Doesnât matter how I do it. And sheâs not in any pain or uncomfortable. She gets a pillow every time she is groomed for goodness sake. Haha. Diva..This made it more tolerable for both of us. It does get hot though..it says it doesnât but it does on a longer nail. Which I think is still normal for something like this to do. I just moved on to another nail and came back to it and moved on and came back to it once it was short enough. Iâm not sure why one of her nails were significantly longer than the rest, but thatâs what I did to make both of us comfortable. you also have to have patience and take your time. But overall, it was great and I would recommend it.

dulled almost immediately
If you just have a pet dog you want to use this on, it’s worth it, but as a dog groomer doing multiple sets of nails a day, I was very disappointed with how quickly this dulled. It still works, but I noticed after the first dog that this immediately started filing slower and I had to turn up my dremel for it to work the same, which a lot of dogs don’t care for. Disappointing.

Exceeded expectations
I couldn’t imagine this dremel bit making that big of a difference, but I am shocked at how great this is. I have a specialized pet nail dremel, a regular dremel, clippers, etc.– I have tried everything but my dog is at best impatient, and at worst impossible. Clippers are too scary to use on my dog’s black nails; the pet dremel just wasn’t powerful enough and took forever to make progress; and, the plug-in dremel bits always got hot so fast. This one is absolutely perfect. I put the plug-in dremel on its lowest speed setting. The shape of this bit rounds out the nails so they don’t snag or scratch carpet. It doesn’t seem to get hot because my dog sat patiently on my lap throughout the whole thing without wincing once. I am so glad I found this, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Rounds my dog’s nails great!
Great grinder. I have a 95 pound shepherd and his nails grow really fast. I like that this grinder set has two parts…one for wider nails and one for slimmer nailes and I especially like that it rounds the edges as it grinds the nail. When the sides are rounded back, it encourages the quick to recede so you can gradually work to get your dog’s nailes shorter. My dog hates to have his nails dones so I have done only one foot so far, but this grinder tip worked great! Can’t wait to use it on the other 3 feet.

First Time Using One, Works Very Well
I have a 22-week-old 50lbs labrador retriever. Unfortunately, when I did her first nail trimming, I ended up hitting not only one, but two of her quicks! Well, that did not go over very well with her. We own the Dremel Dog tool from my previous Service Dog (SD). I used it on her once with the sandpaper and she did not care for it really. One thing that made it much harder with the sandpaper is taking the breaks because of the heat. That is a thing of the past with this Diamond Dremel Bit, the heat just does not build up. Talk about grinding her nails down quick! I was shocked at how fast this bit grinds down her nails! I am happy that I can trim her nails with the clippers and then use this to round over the edges.I am not sure how long this will last before its performance declines. So, we’re going to have to wait to see that. I am really happy with this bit, and I do recommend it.

Perfect Bit for Grinding
I wish I could say I used this bit. However, after ordering, I realized it doesn’t fit inside my dog’s or my own electric nail file. I’ll need an actual Dremel to use this. However, I will say that this bit is exquisitely crafted, and I can tell it’s going to get the job done!
