Makes Trimming Your Dogâs Nails A Breeze
My Dog: Large Golden RetrieverIâve been using the cheap sanding wheels with my rotary tool for a few years and itâs been a huge pain. The sanding wheels wear out super fast (as in, I go through 2-3 per session for all four paws), heat up and cause discomfort to my dogâs paws, and theyâre rather slow in filing down the nail. It would take me around 45 minutes + to grind all four paws and my dog HATED it.It got so bad I started going to the groomers because I got fed up with the sanding wheels.I recently heard about these diamond grinders that are specifically for pet nails and figured Iâd check it out. After reading reviews and doing some googling, I opted for this particular one as it seemed to have all the shapes youâd want for various grinds.It just came in the mail today and I tested it out on my dog. Wow. Absolutely fantastic. I finished all four paws in 10 minutes max. This thing is fast, doesnât heat up, and gives a very smooth finish to your dogâs nails. For the first time ever my hand didnât cramp up trying to fight my dog to get his nails trimmed. He hardly even cared.Overall Iâm super satisfied with this purchase. If youâve had it with the sanding wheels that just donât get the job done, and suck at using actual clippers like me, then Iâd highly recommend trying one of these.Note: I literally just got this today and used it once, so I canât comment on the longevity of this grinder. But even if I only get THREE uses out of it before it utterly fails, it would still be worth it compared to paying the groomers $15 each time. I highly doubt it will wear out after three uses too.

Better for Bigger Dogs
Good diamond wheel for trimming dog nails (pictures 1 & 2). Both the diamond wheel and sand paper wheel (pictures 3 & 4) have similar results; however, the sand paper wheel gives a smoother finish on the dog’s nail. The diamond wheel trims the nails faster than the sand paper wheel, allowing for less stress by the dog. I liked that there were two sized indentations on the diamond, which allowed for me to use the bit on my smaller dog’s nails and my larger dog’s nails. Overall, this is a good wheel for trimming dog nail’s, but might not leave the nails with a smooth finish. Takes more getting use to than traditional sand paper wheels.

This diamond nail grinder fit my Dremel cordless nail grinder just fine. It worked OK on my 50lb puppies nails, but the sandpaper discs are definitely faster. My dogs really dislike, but tolerates nail grinding and the less time grinding the better. The sandpaper discs take about 1/2 the time to grind. 3 stars.

These Dremel heads work ok, but not great. They’re pretty fine grit. The numerous angles can be a bit difficult to utilize.
