Hilarious & so fun! If youâre disabled and have a service dog, extra highly recommend! ð
I have a golden retriever who is my amazing service dog. He means more to me than I can express, and he DRAMATICALLY helps me and enriches my life, while Iâm isolated and suffering a lot from serious illnesses. So this thing plus non toxic dog bubbles are SUCH blessings to us!!! ðð¥°â¤ï¸My dog is truly one of the most amazing animals Iâve ever met. He even plays with the wand toy WITH my 3 cats! They all take their turns! Itâs hilarious! I call them my Big Dog and 3 Little Dogs. ðBut of course, he wants his own wand toy⦠and now he has it! :)Iâm too weak to walk my service dog often. But thank God we have a great backyard! So I swing this thing all over (you could even do it while seated if youâre in a wheelchair, just have lots of space all around you, and keep moving it; but see my last tip), and he jumps and leaps at it! Runs after it! Itâs truly adorable! And he doesnât want to stop! He LOVES it! ð¤©Itâs surprisingly well-made! I mean the handle is ergonomic and easy to hold on to (did not expect that!), the poll is heavy duty but not heavy, and the connecting rope is great! I only wish they had a bigger rope toy at the end for big dogs. But itâs not bad, and I can easily connect one when this one wears out. :)Where it matters: this thing is well-made!And it gives my boy and I much needed joy and much needed exercise for him! ðð Heâs tired and smiling while panting at the end. Jumping like that is really great exercise, along with the running after it. :)*Important tip: Dogs and cats can both develop anxiety/OCD if you donât let them catch things like this at least every 3-5 attempts to catch it/movements. Same with laser pointers! They need to be able to pounce and âcatch itâ. Or it can cause horrendous behavioral issues. Iâm a dog trainer, and Iâve seen and heard about the sad effects that can happen if people donât know and do this.Just teach your dog âdrop itâ with positive affirmation (highly recommend online dog trainer Zak George!), and itâs easy to begin again! The dog will learn that dropping it INCREASES fun, not decreasing it. :)So just wanted to set you up for success! 🙂 Using this correctly is hilarious (great to entertain other people also), fun, great bonding, and great exercise for human and dog! ðð¥°ð

Perfect for our ausie mix.
Our dog loves to tug, and this makes tug of war outside great! My husband will spin the wand around and she’ll run after it.She had one mishap trying to bite the wand itself, which did make her mouth bleeding slightly. She’s a quick learner though and recovered quickly. Durable as described.

Heavy
Almost 33″ long, Very safe for people, kids & dogs to play with. Very comfortable grip, non slick handle, Very sturdy. Easy to use & to play with ur dog.2 issues I have is the rope on the end is very hard & could hurt a small puppy or child if they got hit with it. 2nd It is alittle heavy starts wearing ur arm out. But it is a great product just play careful. My puppy is 3 mos and she loves it. Highly recommend it to all pet owners.

My puppy loves this toy
I got this because my puppy doesn’t like fetch or tug, but loves jumping and chasing. It was better than I hoped. Not only did my picky puppy love playing with me using it, but she got out a ton of energy without me feeling like I’d done a cardio session. It was perfect. While the rope is good and sturdy, but I’m going to get some of the stuffed accessories so she doesn’t get bored (she bores of toys quickly so I need a rotation). The good news is all I need is a variety of dangly toys, and not the rod.The product itself feels solid and well made. It’s got a spring near the handle to give it some play (important to ensure its not too brittle and breaks). Nothing feels “loose” or wobbly. It’s heavier than I imagined, but that’s not a bad thing. Especially because it feels balanced. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable to hold, guiding your hand naturally into a good casting /tug of war position with supports in the right places to ensure you win that tug should the dog catch the rope. It’s durable enough to withstand my 40 pound puppy tugging against it and despite an impromptu game of tug did not unscrew itself in the slightest despite easily coming apart when it was time to go home. I’ll update when it breaks or starts to loosen. The rope is fairly thick – good for medium to larger breeds. My puppy is about 40 pounds and it was thicker than the other ropes she prefers. I don’t think a dog under 30 pounds would enjoy the thickness. Swapping out the toy on the end is easy enough, so if you want an extra strong rod, swapping out is possible. After the first couple of sessions, I changed the rope to a softer puppy rope to protect my pup’s teeth.

Durable and dog obsessed
This flirt pole has been amazing for my 1-yr old pitlab mix. She loves it and is exhausted in 20 to 30 minutes. It’s durable, ergonomic, and made with good materials. Highly recommend.

A great toy for small dogs!
While advertised for âDogsâ, this toy is really only appropriate for small dogs. I had sent it as a gift to my âGrandpuppyâ,Jasper. Unfortunately, he was too big! So I had my son forward into my best friend who had a âCatâ! Margaret Ann loves it!!!

My dog loves it!!
I have a 5 month old, 9 pound toy Australian Shepherd puppy, and I am 69 years old. I was finding it a little much to keep up with her physically and to give her the gentle exercise she needs. I saw a flirt or flicker pole recommended in a book for entertaining German Shepherds and pittys, and thought I’d try one. My girl had destroyed the cats toys on a stick when she was only 4 lbs, and I looked on Amazon for one a little more durable. I found this flirt pole on Amazon and gave it a try. When I got it, it was bigger and heavier than my dog! But she loves it, I am careful to keep it on the ground so she doesn’t jump after it. The vet told us to save that for when she’s older and her joints are fully developed. This pole wears her out! The rope is very sturdy, and the pole has never loosened up like some reported. I love the cushioned and conformed grip, very comfortable to hold with one or two hands. My only complaint would be when I am turning in circles and she is running around me like a crazy dog, I get dizzy when we stop, lol.

My pup is a mix breed of active medium/ large dogs and loves chasing and tugging on this toy. We have had it for a few months now and is the only toy that has survived his play. Definitely recommend.

Not âwhippyâ enough

This is good quality, great for bigger dogs or those breeds that are rough on toys. I have three Aussies and they are serious about their hearding and tough on toys 15 minutes of playing with this and they are relaxed for 2-3 hours. Great work out. Good price point

I purchased this for my dog who is a border collie mix. He does love chasing it around and pulling on it when he catches it. The metal pole is sturdy and does not seem like it is at risk of breaking when force is applied. The rope is well stitched and does not seem at risk of fraying or letting go easily, yet replacing the toy on the end is not difficult at all. I would NOT let your dog just sit an chew on the rope (or the included rope toy) for any length of time or play with it unsupervised as tearing and fraying are certainly possible with excessive chewing. I give my pup a few seconds of rewarded play after catching the toy to pull or chew on it before he has to release it, and so far it has stood up, but too much chewing would certainly fray the ropes. The clip is sturdy as well.My only complaint is that both the metal pole AND the rope feel a little short. It makes it so my dog can just basically run circles directly around my feet and practically grab the rope, and he isn’t a big dog at all. I would love a way to make it longer. If a segment of pole was made that could be attached in the middle between the two existing end pieces, that would be a purchase I would be willing to make.

My dog adores this toy. We go to the soccer field and I run all over and she chases her octopus stuffed toy I tied to it. Itâs a lot of fun and a different way to exercise your dog.
