I bought my latest set as a baby gift – I have given many, many of these out over the years. We personally own a 10-year-old set without the frilly edges – but other than that they are the same durable, versatile cups. These things are nearly indestructible – they have been through a lot in our house and have just one small scratch on them. (With 3 boys plus a husband known for breaking things, very few items can withstand this test!)I cannot believe how many educational aspects Discovery Toys packed in to such a small, compact package. You can stack, nest, sort by color (each has a small, medium, large size), use as playdough stamps (animals on each cup go from small to large along with the cups), and even learn math (cup 1 plus cup 2 will fill cup 3). We love to play with them in the bathtub.They are the only “baby” toy that never got put away in between any of our kids – ages 10, 7, and 7 months. I think that says it all!

This is a review for MEASURE UP!® Cups by Discovery Toys by Discovery Toys.Just bought another set for my newest little great nephew. I bought these twenty years ago for my son and twenty years later we still have them in our beach toy crate. We’ve bought them on-and-off throughout the years for gifts and always enjoy reminiscing. He remembers using them in the bathtub, then at the beach, and with play clay, and enjoys the nostalgia of watching little ones play with the same toy he loved.- They’re durable. Obviously.- They hold their color.- They’re seriously educational.- Wonder why the rims are ridged? It’s so you can’t put them on your mouth and suck in and get them stuck! Not that I would do that. Well, I don’t do it very often anyway. But seriously, it can be a suffocation issue for little ones so this is a nice feature.Note: there are a couple of tutorial videos on-line. One is a far more abrasive than the other (to my ears anyway – sorry blonde woman). Chose the dark-haired woman.If you found this review helpful, please check “yes” below. A fun, indestructible, educational toy.
This was a birthday gift for my great-grandson – who just turned 2. He loves playing with the same set his father (my grandson) and many other children have enjoyed over the years when visiting my home. It’s a classic, and virtually indestructible. It can be used to learn colors and numbers, and to understand size and volume. It encourages fine motor development by stacking and/or nesting. It’s a great bathtub toy. It doesn’t take up much space and provides lots of options for play. I highly recommend it!

Looks can be deceiving…simple, but fabulous!
I bought Discovery Toys from a neighbor rep when my daughter was a baby, through her preschool years and they were always our go-to for entertainment. The construction is pure quality…never had anything break. Never had to send anything back, even though they had a lifetime guarantee. The Measure Up Cups were used in the bath, in the sandbox, in the kitchen, in the playroom…you name it! They’re fun, but also provide learning opportunities as the child ages, providing hands on math lessons. If you fill up the number 3 and number 4 cups they will fill the number 7 cup! My daughter thought that was pretty cool when she was learning to count. I can’t say enough about this simple and inexpensive toy. I’ve got them packed away so that she can use them with her own children one day. I was so excited to see that Amazon carries them and I can now share this gift with my nieces and nephews as they have children of their own.
