Quiet Enough for a Cat!
I got this because it’s Quiet and Smooth running. I wanted to smooth Dillon’s claws After I trimmed them. Otherwise some times he scratches his ears so vigorously after a claw trim he’s drawn blood. Problem solved! It doesn’t take much time and it’s so quiet he’s never ran away from it. Addition of light is nice and it’s a separate button so optional. I trim claws with traditional scissor type clipper, then use this to smooth sharp edges. Video is to compare sound and see light.

This nail grinder is so quiet my dog doesn’t even notices it. I am actually able to do her nails! I used to have one that had like a sandpaper belt to it. It would catch her fur and rip it out. This doesn’t do that!

Poor battery life
I was excited when I first used this dremel. It is quieter and faster than my previous dremel which lasted me about 3 years. I donât usually use the light, but it can be helpful at night when I donât get extra light through the windows. The battery life though.. sucks. It hardly lasts 15 minutes before it needs to be recharged. I have never overcharged it. Even when fully charged, it will randomly shut off. I have only done 5 or 6 sets of nails.. very frustrating. I wouldâve returned it if I could.

I love this nail grinder, it is not super loud so it doesn’t scare my dog and it has a very bright light that helps you see the nails. It’s not big and bulky either so you can actually hold on to it.. or if you’re like me and gave to sneak up with the nail trimmers this makes it a lot easier.

I guess my expectations were higher. I thought it would actually grind the nails. This thing BARELY grinds them. I mean, it takes 10 minutes to get one nail grinder down short enough. My dog will NOT sit still for more than a minute or two. So I really needed something that would get at least one footâs worth of nails done in that amount of time.
