Great for senior dog with arthritis

Perfect carrier for travel and shopping with our pup
This carrier was the perfect accessory for traveling with our little 12 lb. poodle mix. After struggling with a stroller that was often awkward and cumbersome — not to mention taking up valuable room in our small car — and not wanting her to be stressed out by walking in a crowd on a lease, we tried this carrier. We could tell immediately that she felt so secure with just a small blanket in the bottom. She was able to see out when she wanted attention and to snuggle down when not in the mood for interaction. Not really for hiking. More like a stroll around the park.
This is my 3rd purchase for a hiking carrier. I was so excited because it fit me well and my little chi was actually comfortable in it. That’s where good stuff ends. There are zero D- rings on this– hikers know what I mean. That’s a BIG downer. The pockets are ok, but you cannot open them all the way while wearing the pack because they zip open all the way forward/ level to the pack floor, so things fall out easily. I def liked that it has straps that would level/ pull up the floor so your critter wouldn’t be hanging forward/ downward. I like that the straps crisscross, but there wasn’t enough adjustment to pull them in enough. That said, they would dog into my neck already, so I’m not sure that tightening it is the answer. Everything else is as advertised. It’s nice, strong, durable material. Dependable straps/clasps. Bottom is sturdy enough your critter can sit or lay without the bottom sagging in the middle. Bad things are there’s no way to quick attach/ release items that you will need as a hiker (D rings hint hint)- straps need a lot of work. Overall I would recommend it for walks and picnic packing, but not for true hiking. Hope this helps!!

so far the best cat carrier we found
This carrier is easy to put my cat in. I can tell they feel comfortable and less stressed in the bag compare to other carriers we had. You donât want a clear plastic carrier for your cat because cats donât like exposure when they are stressed in a foreign environment. Feeling your body temperature and heart beat makes them feel safe. I would recommend catâs parents to try this one.

Better than most
I have so many carriers from her puppy size to adult. Tried to find most comfortable for her and I. This one is deeper and more supportive for her, love that. She’s a shih tzu and her neck is always handing low but this one helps her keep her head upright. The straps are comfortable for me. Only downside is the waist support strap does not go around me. I am 5’9″ and about 220lbs. So if you have a wider mid section, we are SOL. Would’ve been 5 stars. Went on a hike and did start to feel a burn in my lower back after a while. She is 14 lbs. Fabric is breathable for her as well. Pockets aren’t really functional once she’s inside. No wear to put water bottle. Overall this is the best one for us for now.

My dog loves it.
My dog is 13 lbs and fit perfectly with plenty of room to also put a baby blanket in to keep him warm. The adjustable straps allowed me to carry him for several hours without straining my back. At the end of our hike he was able to stay in the carrier and sit next to me on the floor at lunch. I would highly recommend this carrier.
