My pup has a 10″ neck, a 17.5″ chest, and weighs about 12 pounds. Based on those measurements, I ordered a size Medium (to fit her chest size, not her neck).I was looking for a harness that would be nice and cool during these warmer summer months. This harness is nice and cool because it is made mainly with the mesh fabric, which allows air to flow thru the harness.The harness also has some very nice reflective material throughout that allows my pup to be seen at night.The clasp appears to be sturdy enough for a pup of this size. It isn’t overly difficult to squeeze the sides of the clasp to undo the harness, while at the same time not being overly flimsy. The tightness of the harness can be adjusted around the body of the pup not only by securing the velcro at the correct tightness, but also by adjusting the buckle strap that goes around the body.The leash that comes with the harness is not as strong as I would like. It appears to be made rather inexpensively and does not have any reflective stitching. Since the harness and the leash are both black, I would prefer more reflective areas on both items. Given that, I would have given it a 3.5 star rating.
