Better locking function than others
With other leashes, you have to purposefully push the extra button into place to lock the reel. With this one, pushing down the large, main button “auto locks” it. So, if you’re dog takes off running, it’s MUCH easier to just push the main big button down and lock it in the heat of the moment / panic.

Very nice leash, good locking mechanism.
We started using this leash with our golden retrievers as soon as we got it. I really like the design of the leash. Itâs comfortable to hold and is a bit more compact than some other retractable leashes weâve seen. The locking mechanism is great. A simple push of the button on the top of the leash locks the lead quickly and securely. Unlocking the leash just requires you to push forward a small nub on the button. It was easy to unlock, even when the lead was under tension, but never felt like it was going to unlock accidentally.The reel for the leash operated smoothly, and the tension on the reel was sufficient to pull the excess lead in quickly.Well made leash, good ergonomics, comfortable to hold.

Works for my large breed dog
I have a Great Pyrenees. I wanted a leash that had some length but could also be short to have a little more walking control. This is a super sturdy leash and can handle being pulled with tension and retracts very easily to allow the dog to venture out and have some distance. My kids also love this leash as its easy for them to use and control when they walk the dog.

My spoiled-rotten pseudo beagle throws a fit every morning until someone takes her for a walk. Her old leash was pretty worn down, so I decided to give this one a try. I’m very pleased with it. Great for hikes
My city has a leash law, but my pup is used to hiking of leash, so when we are in the city, he always want to explore. This leash allows him room for exploration but is easy for me to rein him in when there is a danger or he needs to stay close. The locking mechanism works differently than my old retractable but now that I’m used to it, I actually like it better because I can lock it in quickly. I’ve used it on my Kelpie (all muscle), lab, and cocker spaniel and all three dogs like it fine. It does go the full 26 feet. I highly recommend it.
