Works good
Our dog is not afraid when we use this. It is so much easier than clipping the nails

Who Knew?
I have two precious pups. One is nearly two years old and doesn’t mind have her nails done. The other sweet girl is nearly eleven years old and I have NEVER been able to cut her nails on my own. She is a super SWEET pup, but I don’t know but what she may bite me if I actually cut her nails with clippers. I leave that job for the groomer, who says she is a perfect sweetheart for them and doesn’t even act as though it is a concern at all.!. Seriously! Enter Eye Rolls Here__I was told by a friend that I should try using a nail grinder. I had zero hopes of being able to use a nail grinder on my older pup. It just seemed like it would be far more traumatic than a simple nail clipper. HOWEVER, she doesn’t even flinch when use the grinder on her nails. Color me shocked and surprised!__Relatively quiet and very easy to use. I appreciate that I can choose to keep the cap on which has an opening in which to place the pup’s nail or else to use it without the cap on if desired__There are several speeds to choose from and initially, I chose a low speed to see how my pup would react to this new thing, then I only used it for a short time. I repeated this several times over a few days to make sure she understood there would be nothing to be worried about. Over this period of time I increased ethe speed as well as the time spent getting her nails done. SMILES__I appreciate that I can use this without a cord hanging in the way__Most appreciate is the light which shines onto the nail to show the blood line so I don’t grind the nail too much__BOTTOM LINE: Thrilled with this new tool and only wish I had discovered it long ago. I would for sure choose it again

Good for small nails
I normally use a dremel tool for grinding my goldendoodles nails, but I wanted to have a backup and one with a light. This is very handy and serves me well except for one dog. She has thick nails that get long so fast (I swear she sneaks and eats my plant growth formula). She needs the industrial model for sure. But this works fine for the other 2, and I do like the lights. It’s also very quiet, much quieter than the dremel, and the dogs like that. The variable speeds are nice if you need to get the job done faster and the dog doesn’t mind that. It’s a good tool for those dogs that don’t have talons for nails!

Quiet!!
My pupper does not sit still for me on trimming nail duties! Wit3 a gentle hug, she actually didn’t squirm after an introduction to this grinder! That alone makes me ecstatic and with time/practice, I will work with it more to perfect the chore

Face it, cutting nails isn’t great, but this grinder IS!
Super easy to setup and I was grinding my dogs nails within just a few minutes. Also, came charged enough to do a first round with my puppy which was nice. The grinder length of the nail slot is great too for my size puppy. No issues, and I love that it is NOT loud, so it doesn’t scare my little guy at all. Gave him a little treat with peanut butter and because of how easy this is to use, I was done with all four paws before we was done with his snack. Couldn’t be happier, turned nail cutting chaos into a smooth experience. Wish I got this sooner, would have saved me some scratches on my arms, lol.

Good alternative to other more expensive alternatives – the light is great
We have 4 dogs and I trim their nails myself so I am always looking to upgrade on nail trimmers. I have a trimmer made by someone else that is only 1-speed. In comparison, that other trimmer’s only speed is probably the equivalent of the lowest speed on this unit. Having the 7-speeds is nice. Normally, faster might be better but I have found that the faster it is the louder it is and that causes anxiety. But anxiety levels differ by dog so it is nice to have flexibility with the speeds. I have never had one of these trimmers that has a light. I did not think much of it, and honestly was not planning on using it. I turned it on by accident and was really surprised what a difference it makes. Maybe not for a dog with black nails, but for a dog that doesn’t have black nails it really illuminates the difference between the nail quick and the nail itself, making it much, much easier to know when to stop.

Very Quiet
The light is really handy so you can see what you’re doing with much more ease. I only used it on the lowest setting with my cat and it did help to trim her nails without them splitting like they often do when I cut them with other nail clippers. I can’t say it rounded them crazy well but my cat has limited patience so that might be more on me and technique than anything else. I think with a dog or less picky cat you could probably use the higher settings but the lowest one just happens to be the best one for me.

Be Careful!
Make sure that you trim your dogs paw of any excess fur before using. Thankfully, I always trim the fur pads and around the nail beds. But with the spinning nature of this it can take the longer fur, causing an accident. I was initially disappointed as my dog didn’t disappoint with the vibration of the machine. She was gone! Wouldn’t come out until I put it up. The second time, i didn’t turn it on and pretended it was on her toes.It did take a fair bit of time, but I was able to do a tiny bit on her back paw, before freaking out. I’d recommend getting your dog used to it, and if they are skittish with their feet, this may not help. It is a great item, but not sure if it works for my puppy.
