Love it!
My last nail grinder from this company was great, and it worked wonderfully on my small dog and it still works. However, the one light just wasn’t enough. Time for an upgrade! This new one has 3 lights, and works just as good as the previous one. I don’t hear a difference in noise level between the two and she still hates to have her nails done. But I’m saving money by doing them myself rather than a groomer every month.Easy to use, easy to clean and store away for next time. Great nail grinder for the price, highly recommend!

Easy to use!
I love how easy this dog nail grinder was to use on my dog. I like that itâs actually quiet as indicated and that is what my dog loved the most. He was able to fall asleep while grinding his nails and not once did he move or bark. Itâs easy to use and clean and store away as it comes with its own hard cover case. The grinder also has built in led lights which helps you see better when using on your pets nails. Very good quality if I may say so!

Didn’t work well
I’m not sure if this just isn’t meant for bigger dogs with thicker nails, but it didn’t work for my dog. My little dog was SO scared of this thing (she’s skittish in general) that despite trying multiple times to get her used to it, to have her adjust, she wouldn’t go near it and was terrified. So if you have a skittish dog, forget it.My big dog is super chill and was a little skeptical of this but allowed us to try it on her. It just didn’t work well. She has thick nails and this didn’t trim them at all. It may have dulled it down a bit, but definitely not a trim.

Nice and Quiet Nail Grinder
We have 3 dogs (Pug, Pekingese, and a Husky) along with 2 cats. Our cats naturally grind their nails on all of their belongings that they think they own, like furniture⦠Needed something for our dogs. With 3 dogs who donât really like the nail clippers, it becomes quite a bit of money taking them back and forth to the groomers to have it done. Weâve been really wanting to get a nail grinder and test out how it would be instead. Iâve read a lot of beneficial things about getting your dogs nails grinded down vs. trimmed with the nail trimmers. I included a video of the sound since it is actually really quiet which I was very pleased about.Prior to, we turned it on just for them to hear and feel it, to become familiar with it. It really doesnât make much noise until itâs actually touching the nail, and even then, it was still fairly quiet. I was amazed at how instantly it lessened our dogs anxiety vs. there normally in a flight mode just screaming⦠There are different lights on the grinder so you can see more easily and accurately what your trimming. It took within about 10 seconds to trim 1 nail completely. There is a wrong and right way to grind their nails down (position wise) so please read before hand the pamphlet and instructions they provide, as we did not. Itâs definitely a learning curve compared to what weâre used to but I think in time with practice this will not only be a money saver but also it will save my dogs anxiety on so many levels and be a lot easier altogetherâ¦Side note, I know itâs not a big deal, but I absolutely love that this just isnât a âboxâ per se, but theyâve also included a little handle to carry. Makes it so much easier as well. The casing is pretty sturdy too along with the nail grinder itself. Seems durable so far and fairly lightweight⦠I also like that you can charge it instead of relying on batteries.

Works well
This works really well on the two dogs I’ve tested it on so far, a 13lb and a 60lb. The noise level is about on par with other similar grinders I’ve used. The lights are a great tool to have, but I wish there was some sort of “lock” button so the light couldn’t get accidentally turned on when it bumps something, which results in the battery being drained if I don’t notice the light soon enough. The hard storage case is a nice addition to this kit, but sometimes I just want to carry the grinder itself.

Does not charge
It will not hold a charge, at all. Been charging it for hours and doesnât even last 5 mins.

Expose pets gradually
I tried this with both our 1.5 year old mini schnauzer and our 11 month old large mixed breed puppy that’s about 70lbs. For the smaller dog it was effective though it took her a few tries over a few days to allow me to grind her nails for longer sessions. For our younger but larger dog I haven’t had as much success but I believe exposing her more often will get her used to it. Thankfully the grinder is not too loud so it doesn’t spook them until it makes contact. Also, the built-in LED lights are a nice touch. They help you clearly see the nails and ensure you donât accidentally trim too much. So, while the grinder works well for smaller pets, it struggles a bit with very thick nails, even on the high-speed setting. It can take longer to grind down thick nails, which could be a downside for larger breeds.
