A handy nail grinder
This nail grinder from Cadols is very quiet as far as nail grinders go. It’s a low-sounding humming buzz on low and a high-pitched whirring on the highest setting, but the actual grinding of the nails was louder than the sound coming just from the grinder being on. So, if your dog is fearful of loud noises, this might be worth a try over the more powerful nail grinder, but on the lowest setting first (slow and steady) until you build up their confidence. While my dog isn’t enthused to get his nails grinded, he at least isn’t fearful like with the actual nail clippers. I don’t blame him since I almost always hit his quick due to all but one nail being solid black. I’ve never had that issue using a nail grinder.I found the highest setting with the regular grinder bit, which was already on it, to be the best setting for my medium-sized dog’s thick black nails. It’s not quick but it is efficient. I also own a Dremel nail grinder, but I wanted a backup nail grinder to take with me when I travel with my dog, and this one is lighter weight and gets the jobs done. I’m not crazy about the concave shape on each grinder bit, as I like to shape my dog’s nails, as they sometimes splinter a bit on the flip/in- side, but I have a hard time shaping them with the concave-shaped bit, as you’re forced to use it at a certain way. But, I like that this nail grinder doesn’t require a separate battery charger and instead can be charged with the found-everywhere USB-C cable (while it comes with the cable, it doesn’t come with the wall charger).The digital screen is also very handy in letting me know how much battery life is left and what speed setting I’m on (switching between medium and high isn’t very precise), but the small LED lights on the end weren’t bright enough to shine through my dog’s super-black nails to see the quick (no light is that bright). I did find gripping the grinder comfortable enough throughout the entire nail-grinding session.One thing I realized is, this nail grinder creates a lot of nail dust, more than my Dremel, or at least it’s more concentrated and noticeable in a specific area around the grinder. There’s an attachment for the dust, but the hole to thread my dog’s nails in it is quite small and more trouble than it’s worth.

It works, but a little cheaply made
This is as advertised. It’s quieter than the big brand version and way quieter than the industrial multitool I’ve been using. The grinding wheels hold up much better than the sanding tubes, which would barely make it through one dog. This took care of all 4 of my dogs on a single charge and I don’t know that I’ll ever need to replace the disc. Having multiple levels of grinding discs and an added pair of clippers is a bonus at this price point. I do wish they’d focused on the main product to make it a little higher quality housing. I doubt this survives a drop, but I don’t plan on intentionally testing that anytime soon. Overall though if you’re in the market for this type of thing and don’t want to break the bank definitely consider this item.

Grinder has lights
What sets this nail grinder set apart from others I have seen is the grinder has two lights on it so you can see what you are doing. It’s a game changer! Too bad the clippers that were included did not also have lights on it. The product information states you can get about 8 hours of use on one charge. I have not used it that long yet, so I cannot attest to that, but that sounds like a good deal to me.
