Nice Clipper Set
I’ve only used the clippers from this set because my animals notoriously hate grinders and my new pup is no different. The clippers are nice and sturdy, cut through my Collie mix’s nails with ease, and fit well in my little hands. My cats aren’t super crazy about them but I have been able to sneakily clip a couple of their nails with it too super easily. The guard on the other side is really good for making sure you don’t take too much nail on dark claws, but thankfully my fur babies all have white claws so I can see where the quick is and don’t have to worry about it too much. I also like that they have the standard clip-lock, so I can stop my curious 8yo from accidentally hurting herself trying to mimic me when I’m not looking.

Not big enough for my German Shepherd.
It may be ok for small dogs and cats, but not big enough for my German Shepherd. The grinder is too weak and takes a long time to grind her nails. Not recommended for bigger dogs.

Quiet, But Barely Works on My GSD
My senior German Shepherd is terrified of getting her nails trimmed, and as she has such bad arthritis and mobility issues, the vet usually takes care of her grooming. Lately, though, car trips are too stressful for her. I’ve tried so many nail trimmers, even rotary-style ones, but the noise bothers her. As this promised a quieter experience, I thought I’d give it a try. While the noise wasn’t as bothersome to her, it did little more than create fine dust on the three nails I tried it on, and I had to hold her foot so long to make even that difference that she had enough of it. I’m not even going to use the traditional bladed cutter on her — those are guaranteed issues for my dog. I can likely try this on one of my senior cats, but it was a disappointment in terms of effectiveness.

My 2 small dogs hate having their nails cut. I thought perhaps the FLYBBWL Dog Nail Grinder would be a useful tool for alleviating some of their fear. The grinder is very quiet, but they were still scared. I did manage o trim their nails with the actual nail cutters included. grooming! Aged Yorkie was terrified of nail clippers. I am slowly introducing this new trimmer and its going well. That alone is a miracle. Easy to use and quick
