Small and easy to handle. Battery life serms long although I don’t use it long at a stretch. Our digs tolerate it well, its quite quiet. I do wish the light illuminated the grinding head.

I have been trimming dog nails for nearly 40 years and I had never used a grinder…. UNTIL NOW!!!! I have used a file to smooth them out after clipping them and that worked but it would take forever and that sort of conditioned the dogs to not want to have their nails clipped because they knew that this long session of being restrained while I file & or buff the sharp edges would follow. When they go to the Groomer, I’ll occasionally splurge for the nail grind. When saw this was an option in the Vine program, I jumped at it!! It works like a champ! IT’S not silent by any means but it’s really not very loud and it doesn’t seem to bother my dogs at all. I wish the motor were a bit stronger so I could apply a little more pressure without slowing down/stopping. You just have to be patient, be gentle/ apply less pressure and use the correct amount oof pressure for your pet and use the correct grinder, The light is beyond fantastic!! This is really a fabulous tool to keep your pets nails smooth and if your do if soften enough you can manage the length without needing to resort to clipping, However, realistically, you’re just going to be using this after you get them clipped to smooth off the sharp edges. It works great!! I didn’t even mention how great the charger is! It is excellent!

Quiet at first, but then got louder.
Prior to use, yes, it is quiet. After use, you hear it louder than before. I get it, but that is not what i was sold on. If after one use, i lose the quietness, and i am talking about 2 more decibels, if does not help the pet of the noise change. The whole point of the purchase of something quiet so they are not stressed out. With that said, my chihuahua nail has gotten stuck in it twice after carefully using it, because of her small nails. Fortunately no adverse reaction to the action with her nail. However, not what i am looking for, especially wanting them to “TRUST” me that i will not hurt them even though i am using a device that could hurt them. On top of that, hard time getting some nails with it for the chihuahua.Also, there is only two ports, taking the cover off is not a port, its call the device you are using. I make a point only because i bought the LUCKYTAIL that had two ports and two lights, which the FURBONA had “three” ports and one light. Again, taking the cover off is not a port. I took a picture of both products so you know i am not lying about either or.NOW, if i had a bigger dog, again, a bigger dog in the 25lb or larger range, i would say FURBONA would work, but for my chihuahua small nails and for how longevity; in consideration of the noise itself getting louder after one use. What would happen after 10 uses? With you cleaning it. Anyways, returning this and spending the extra money on lucky tail; their lighting is MUCH brighter(which counts for a lot on finding that “QUICK” on the dogs nail) and 2 ports cover can move 360, which helps along with the lighting. I does look like they are using the same diamond bit.

Nice little unit but I am not good at this!
I’ve got a little old foster dog and I thought I’d try to get his nails trimmed down. I’m terrible at it. I first used a clippers until I cut too close and got the quick – dumb black nails! So I thought I’d go with a grinder.This grinder does work but it’s slow going and I’m afraid to do too much and nick his quick again. He doesn’t love it. He tolerates it for a while. And then he gets shirty. It doesn’t seem to take off that much – which could be a good thing so I don’t hurt him again. But I get frustrated by the amount of time it takes. I think this is a me thing.I will say that the vibrations aren’t terrible. I had tried another one of these things a few years ago with my other dogs and the vibration was so annoying I couldn’t continue and the dogs hated it. This one is a lot better in regards the vibration. So, it’s better for the dogs I think. I don’t think they enjoy the vibration. I know I didn’t when I tried it on my own nails. This has less vibrations but still has them and the dog was able to tolerate it for longer. So that was good.

This Dog Nail Grinder is a perfect tool! I already struggle with cutting my dog’s nails. This grinder has been a great help. I love that it has a light to help me see much better. My chihuahua doesn’t mind the grinder, which is amazing. I highly recommend this product!

This product arrived in a neat little box with a charging cable and a small sheet of instructions. It worked right out of the box so it was obviously still holding some charge. There is a cap and when you remove it, there is another cap with two apertures so that the nail grinder can be used for small dogs or medium dogs. If you remove that inner cap, the device becomes suitable for large dogs. My dog is small so I can’t comment on how the device works for bigger dogs but I thought the versatility was clever. The device has a LED light and it allows a low and high speed setting.I’m a total beginner and I didn’t want to scare my dog so I just tried it on the low setting and held his paw and nails securely while I just lightly touched each of his nails with the grinder. He seemed totally fine with that, so my plan is to just gradually build up the contact time over the next few days until he actually is used to getting his nails filed.
