Nice unit! What impressed me most, was just how quiet the unit is when running. Even the second, higher speed setting is quiet.It has a good weight to the unit its self. It does not feel like a cheap toy but rather a good tool. It fits well into your hands and does not present any sharp angles nor any bits of stray plastic that could hurt you or your dog.Simple operation with a single button for “on low”, “on high” and “off”. A single LED shines different colours to let you know the remaining charge in the battery. Charging is simple with the enclosed USB-A to USB-C cable. The unit even comes with a cap to cover the grinding wheel when not in use.If you are transporting the unit, you need to be aware that it is easy to trigger the power “on” button. There is no safety lock. It would be possible to retrieve the unit out of a bag, only to find the battery spent.The only other small issue is the tiny screwdriver enclose in the kit. It seems that the small screwdriver is to remove a small screw that holds the grinding wheel in place. You would do this to replace the grinding stone after the original one is worn out, or perhaps for a different grade of stone. However, on the unit I received, there is a small metal cap over where the screw head should be. It is telling me that I cannot remove the grinding wheel under any circumstances. (Between you and me, when and if this grinding stone is worn out, I’ll find a way to replace it! I love a good challenge!)Bottom Line – A very good, quality nail grinding unit. Very quiet for sensitive dog’s ears. It’s only when you actually introduce the grinding wheel to a nail, that the dog will react. But with a slow and gentle approach, most will find this to be a very effective tool in keep those nails trimmed and smooth.

I have not tried it yet on my dog but he didn’t get scared when I started it near him… As soon as he hears the clipper sound he goes away lol.This grinder is excellent. The way it is made there is no way you can file your dog’s nail too far (there a plastic “guide” over the file.It is extremely quiet. It has two settings and the second (fastest) setting is just to say a tiny weenie bit “louder” but still very quiet.Easy to work with. Press on, press 2nd speed, press off.I took one star off because it came with a tiny screw driver to change the file but has no replacement! These things should come with at least one replacement although the file is not cheap cardboard with glued sand.Excellent buy.

Works well and keeps a charge well. It’s fairly quiet, and I really appreciated the light that shines on your dog’s nails. Even still, when I was using it on my dog’s nails she really didn’t like the noise/vibrations, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to use it consistently.
