I recently tried the Paw Nectar Dog Paw Balm, and hereâs my honest take on it. The balm has a pleasant scent and, as expected, itâs quite greasy, which works well for moisturizing my dogâs paws. However, beware – because you don’t want your dog to immediately jump up on your $400 bedding set as it will be ruined!
Also, the packaging was a significant issue. The jar arrived unwrapped and without any leakage protection, which was a problem given the Florida heat. In the 97-degree weather, the balm melted and leaked out, creating quite a mess inside of my package. I had five other items in the same box, and half of the balm ended up all over them. Thankfully, those items were plastic-wrapped, so no permanent damage occurred, but it was still a major hassle to clean up.
The product itself seems effective, but the lack of protective packaging during shipping really undermines its value. I suggest that the company consider shrink-wrapping the jars or at least placing them in a zip-lock bag to prevent leakage. Until then, Iâd recommend caution, especially if youâre ordering this product in a hot climate.

Used this on my dogs extremely rough paw pads the first day it arrived to our house. A few hours later I could already tell a huge difference as this product made my dog’s pad softer. So much so my dog was actually slipping a bit on our LVP flooring. He was so used to the rough pads creating extra grip, and the soft pads made him slide a bit at first while walking. I used this product two more times in one week and my dog’s paw pads are super soft and he seems to be licking his feet less too.
Overall a great product. I will definitely be buying this again.
