For such a small, compact tool, this trimmer works surprisingly well. My cat has beautiful long hair, which I love but I do not love the long fur on his paws. I just feel it’s not so sanitary after he uses his litter box. The blade part of this trimmer is tiny so it was the perfect fit for me to maneuver around his paws and underneath his feet. I tried the trimmer first on my hand to make sure there was nothing to hurt him and I literally felt nothing, so I felt safe in then using it on him. While the trimmer does make a buzzing sound when in use, it’s not loud enough to bother your pet. There is a light, but honestly it is too small to give any assistance whatsoever. It is about the size of a match head and isn’t even remotely bright. In fact, I did not even notice the light when using it. When I came back to look at the description, I saw that it had a light and had to go back and check the trimmer as I thought maybe I got one without a light. That’s how unnoticeable the light is. It’s there but it doesn’t do much. While I would never risk grooming my pet in low lighting, older eyes like mine need all the help they can get, so an additional amount of light would have been helpful. The trimmer works well and I was easily able to shape his paw fur the way I wanted it. The instructions say to trim longer hair first, but honestly I feel like it worked better on the longer hair. With the longer hair, I only had to do one pass. With the shorter areas, I felt like I needed a second pass. The tool came already charged and it was still going strong when I was done, so I am confident that a charge will last for a good amount of time. I appreciate that this tool is rechargeable so I do not have to worry about working around a cord plugged into the wall as I am trying to trim. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this trimmer and feel that it does a good job.

Not Great
I like the wide blade and the quietness of the shaver. But it takes long to charge and the charge does not last long, I can barely do all four paws on an med size dog before the charge fails. Also after 3 uses the blade is already getting dull. I do not recommend.

Decent at home option.
My dog HATES this, but she hates having her paws trimmed, dried, washed, inspected, or otherwise touched, so I am in no way basing my review on her opinion, poor thing.Itâs relatively quiet- quieter than the low setting on my blow dryer, but about as loud or slightly louder than my husbandâs electric beard trimmer. Slightly louder when itâs actually cutting hair.BUT. It cuts hair very very well, provided your pet is not a twitchy paw-jerker like mine. It took twice as long as it probably would have for a professional to trim her overgrown paws, and she ran away before we could get her backside trimmed as well. It doesnât seem to build up heat- I had it running for a straight 15 minutes, so that was good. Itâs also convenient and quick to charge with the included cord.If you can keep your pet still, even if you need one hand to hold them, this will work since itâs perfectly sized for one hand.

Perfect Size for Small Paws
The shape and size fits nicely in hand and is easy to work with on my 7lb pomeranian.These are louder than expected, but doesn’t appear to frighten my dog, who isn’t used to me clipping his paws with an electric shaver.The general instructions were on the box and included a step for using scissors, which is strange as these are electric clippers.There were also no instructions on the use of the lubricant, which is assumed to be used like all clipper lubricants. The bottle was less than half filled. But as advertised the bottle shows as being not fully filled, assume it is to prevent expansion leaks.Overall it’s a nice electric clipper
