Helps with thick undercoats
It definitely helps heavily shedding dogs with thick undercoats (like huskies). We still had to use a regular brush afterwards too, but this worked a lot better than the brush alone!! Super easy to hold as well

My dog sheds A BUNCH. She doesnât particularly like being brushed, but will allow me to do so with this brush. I like it SO MUCH BETTER than the Fur-minator.This brush doesnât pull out clumps of her undercoat, which is why I think she tolerates it

Excellent product!
I have a German Shepard, and the brush will pull out his undercoat with ease. I don’t have to press firmly either! I can literally brush the hair against its natural path too without tangling the hair or pinching him. My GS loves his brushing sessions now and will lay down and let me brush him all over including his tail!

This does not work on my Husky cross or my Mountain cur cross. It would probably work best with cats because of their fine hair. I do not like the sharpness of the ends, while they are rounded off a little, they are not rounded off enough to cause the dog no harm with a heavy handed groomer.

I have used undercoat rakes for years on my German Shepherd dogs and found them to be invaluable for the double coated dogs. My current German Shepherd is a Long Coat girl, as was my previous girl. When I saw this rake with the double row of ‘pins’, I just had to try one. It is the best investment for grooming my girl that I could have made. The double row of ‘pins’ seems almost magical for the job and is effortless to use. One of my friends called in one day while I was grooming my girl and asked to try it. She wanted to know where I bought it as she wanted one immediately. I sent her home to try it on her Long Coat Shepherd and she ordered immediately. I would say that it is a ‘must’ for anyone who owns a double coated dog. Brilliant.
