Excellent way of trimming nails.
Excellent! This was a more gentle way for trimming there nails. I have two Airedaleâs and their nails are black. It is always been difficult to see the vein when trimming with clippers. This was a softer approach and a dog loved it. Wish I wouldâve found this sooner. Bill S.

I recently purchased the Dremel PawControl 7760-PET Dog Nail Grinder and Trimmer, and it has completely changed my pet grooming routine for the better! As a dog owner, I was always anxious about trimming my dog’s nails, but this cordless and rechargeable tool has made the process much easier and stress-free.First and foremost, the design is user-friendly. The ergonomic grip feels comfortable in my hand, allowing me to maneuver it with precision while keeping my dog calm. The cordless feature is a game changerâno more dealing with tangled cords or being limited by plug locations. Plus, the rechargeable battery lasts quite a while, so I donât have to worry about it dying mid-groom.The Dremel PawControl offers different speed settings, which is fantastic. There’s a Learning Curve for Regular Dremel Users
I have been Dremelling my dogs nails for years and years, I much prefer it over clipping. In fact, until I ordered this model, the Dremel I had been using was this exact model, just the regular version, not the pet version. I definitely like this pet version, but there absolutely was (and continues to be) a learning curve in using this one. With the regular version, I just used a sand paper band. With this pet version, there’s the flat sanding disk and the nail guide, and adapting to this new set up is taking me some time. In fairness, you can switch things out to use this pet model in the same way (e.g. with a sand paper band) as the regular model, but at that point, I might as well just use the one I already had. Anyway, my favorite part is that the nail dust gets captured in the nail guide, vs. getting all over me, my floor, etc. I also think the nail guard provides a nice element of stability and support, but what I’m finding is that sometimes, unintentionally of course, I’m not aligning the nail well and I end up with a nail that’s trimmed, e.g., on the side and not straight-on – but again, that’s the learning curve at play.Overall I think this is a good option and would recommend this over the regular version for anyone new to using a Dremel to do their dog’s nails, because you have the option to use the nail guard, etc. but you can also use it like a regular Dremel. For someone who already has and uses a Dremel, this may not be a game changer for you, but if you do go this route, prepare for a learning curve.

A brand that never disappoints
I’m a longtime fan of Dremel brand products, so this had my attention immediately. Especially since I have a dog that has only had his nails successfully clipped while sedated in the vet’s office. Every trick & technique tried at home, every product we’ve tried, has not been successful. The first thing I noticed about this product is that it’s the typical high quality of any Dremel product. I’ve been slowly introducing it to my dog, & to be honest it’s not looking like I’m going to have any more luck with it than I have all of the other nail grinder products I’ve tried. The sound is an immediate trigger, & he knows. I will say this makes a softer, quieter, more smooth sound than the off brand nail grinders we’ve had. The good thing about this product is that it has so many other possible uses other than just a pet nail grinder, so it won’t just sit in a drawer collecting dust. It has endless other possible uses around the house. It comes with various accessories, & there are tons more available on the market that can be purchased separately. I even tried it on my own nails & it’s great for cuticles & buffing. If I do wind up succeeding with my dog’s nails, I’d trust this product way more than any other nail grinder I’ve seen. One of the attachments it comes with is a guard that prevents the nail being filed too low. I trust that I could get it done much quicker & more evenly. It has various speed settings & the battery life is fantastic. It’s definitely worth paying a bit more to have a brand well known for quality.
