Works Well, Similar to Haakaa
This Elate manual breast pump is similar to the Haakaa where you wear it on the opposite side while nursing. The Haakaa is slimmer, but this one holds more, 150 ml while the Haakaa holds 120. This Elate one stands better and more secure, I’ve spilled milk so many times using the Haakaa because it tipped over or my toddler walked into the side table I put it on. I also like how this one comes with a stopper, I’ve spilled milk that way too by not having a stopper. In the pictures you could see the Elate is on the right and the Haakaa is on the left. This one has a little tiny handle that seems unnecessary and kind of gets in the way while folding back the flange but it’s not too noticable. I usually get .5 to 2 oz while using these kind of manual pumps and with this I got 1 oz in a 20 minute nursing session. This also came with a lanyard which was a nice plus.

Little pump only holds 5 ounces but perfect for newborns to tuck in diaper bag while traveling, little pump is made well.

Will prevent milk going to waste
I use this breast pump mainly as a milk collector when I am breastfeeding on the other side especially in the early days when it leaks on the side I am not using to feed. This is very similar to the Haakaa which I used in the past except itâs wider whereas the Haakaa is more slim. The quality of this breast pump is good. I wish the stopper wasnât hollow on the inside which will allow milk to go in if it does tip over but it still serves its purpose of preventing spillage. The pump itself also has a strong suction on the bottom which will prevent it from tipping over as well.

This manual pump had a really good suction and it is easy to use, i like that it comes with a strap and a stopper!

Good pump, I don’t love the strap
This pump is simple and easy to use. I can simply press the bottom, place it, and release, to create enough suction. I don’t need to turn the flange inside out, although that is an option. It is gentle and pulls out just enough extra milk to keep my supply up.The base is wider than most – and I think that keeps it more stable. There is also a strong suction on the bottom.The strap is meant to help keep this from falling, but I don’t know if I love it. It can get in the way, if you are feeding baby on one side, and they start playing with the strap.
